I hope there’s not so many invaders that they tip us over. I hate it when that happens.

One of my all time favorite singers, but jumped the shark many years ago. A typical Hollywood/New York liberal.

I've often wondered what Tony Bennett thinks about the 2nd Amendment, and now I know.

Now, if we can get Bobby Vinton to weigh in on the subject...

So, are Mexicans going to come over the border in millions as a start to their invasion?

Oh wait - they already are.

So just to be clear - Tony thinks there is a threat of invasion to the USA, and therefore US citizens should disarm.

Let’s examine *that* logic a bit deeper...

Tony - Does this have anything to do with Fast and Furious? Or was the administration just giving arms to mexican drug gangs totally independent of your assessment?

How about a quick reality check, if you please.

Exactly which country is going to invade the US? Mr. Bennett will you provide us the name?

As many of my ex-squadron mates are discovering just because a nation has fancy hardware and troops the look real neat when it comes to marching in parades it doesn't mean they are combat effective forces. In fact, in a large majority of the nations the military’s chief duty is to ensure the continued existence of the current “president for life”, his family and friends.

So, Mr. Bennett was looking for a few seconds of fame since he hasn't released an album of new work in years, or is it decades? Too bad he took this route of fools.

It sounds as though Tony Bennet’s age is catching up with him and a bit of dementia is apparent. His publicist made a mistake with this one.

Er, Tony, invading this country would not be a good way to prevent gun violence.

Just my 2 cents but just maybe other countries do not invade us due to people having guns. Seems like I read that somewhere.

‘... ever since he opened his mouth years ago to show how stupid he is, I have not listened to a single thing he’s ever done. Not that I ever considered his voice all that good anyway, but I turn the channel if he’s ever on the radio and turn the station if he happens to be on TV. He’s a creep.’

Amen!!

One’s military service no matter how decorated does not render one’s public statements on politics as immune to criticism or disagreement.

I’m a Vietnam vet, nothing I say about anything is sacrosanct, what makes Tony Bennett or Chuck Hagel so special?

Foreign invasion to take away our guns? Does the WWII vet not remember Admiral Yamamoto’s observation that an invader would face “a rifle behind every blade of grass”? Yamamoto spoke from years of having lived & studied in America.

Geez, Tony makes Harry Belafonte seem almost rational.

"It’s the kind of turn that happened to the great country of Germany where Nazis came over and created tragic things and they had to be told off. And if we continue this kind of violence and accept it in our country, the rest of the world is really going to take care of us in a really bad way."

This sort of intellectual decline is just so unspeakably sad. While I never had much use for Tony Bennett myself, it appears, unfortunately, that whatever mental capacity he may once have had, meager though it was, no longer has any use for him, either, since it has clearly left him.

America is 1st in private gun ownership, but 28th is gun violence on a per capital basis. There are 27 other nations that would need to be invaded by the rest of the world before they got to us.
