“Maybe in Kansas, no way, no how in every post office I have been to in California.”

You have to understand, “muawiyah” is a postal service “lifer” and a minority. He actually believes the USPS is doing a good job. He always supports the USPS “line.” If I remember one of his recent “posts,” the USPS is the place where retired military go to “double dip” after putting in “their twenty.” Don’t really know why he posts here because he does not appear to be a conservative.

[G]o to every-other-day delivery - half of all addresses get Monday-Wednesday-Friday delivery, the other half gets Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday delivery.

What would determine who gets M, W, and F delivery and Tu, Th, and Sa delivery? Could this truly be determined fairly?

Each delivery address is part of a route a carrier covers in a given day. Half the routes would be M-W-F, half T-T-S.

..thanks for the post. That explains a lot. Anyone who has firsthand knowledge of the USPS KNOWS that there was a wave of de facto affirmative action hires beginning in the 60s which ran concurrently with the civil rights movement. The EEO made sure of it.

Duh.

Half the routes would be M-W-F, half T-T-S.

I imagine politics would be involved as to which half is assigned to which days.
