A controversial donor with ties to prominent Democrats who is under investigation by the FBI may not have the qualifications he claims.
The resume of Dr. Salomon Melgen, a Florida-based ophthalmologist and controversial Democratic donor, boasts medical education and experience at Harvard University, Yale University, and the University of Missouri.
But none of those schools says it can find any record of Melgen, who claims to be a Harvard alumnus, the former chief resident of the University of Missouri’s ophthalmology department, and a former Yale intern.
Questions concerning Melgen’s background are also coming to light. According to his biography, posted on the website of the Melgen Eye Center, he was the University of Missouri’s chief ophthalmology resident. The university, though, says it has no record of any resident by that name.

These discrepancies in Melgen’s history will likely fuel an already complex series of questions about Melgen, his past, and his relationship with prominent Democratic politicians.
What is there to question?
It is standard Democrat operating procedure.
Draw up some fraudulent credentials. Defraud Medicare. Donate huge sums of money to Democrat politicians.
Happens every day. What does it matter now!
My wild guess is that he went to school - but didn’t graduate - in the DR and/or Cuba.

Hey, come on - cut the guy some slack; his credentials are at least as good as those of the President of the United States.
I think the fascinating part is that he worked himself through various channels with cash donations. No one questioned him showing up to a party or offering substantial cash on a campaign.
The truth? I’m going to take a guess that we eventually find he has some connection to a drug cartel. I suspect the FBI is looking at the cash he gave away, and how it got into his hands. This all has a funny smell to it.
Well I have only read this one article concerning the man but the FBI is looking in to Medicare fraud so there more than enough money in that to fund generous contributions.
Now if you suggested Islamic terrorist ties you might get me to bite. Salomon Melgen might be an Arab name.
