During a panel discussion on Tuesday's NBC Today about the White House releasing a photo of President Obama skeet shooting to dispel doubt about his claim of doing it "all the time," co-host Matt Lauer worried about the precedent that had been set: "So like releasing the birth certificate a year or so ago, this is the next step, that now the President always has to back up his words with proof?"

It’s because he lies!
Pathological liars are required to provide proof.

Not every President need prove what they say is true. Only those who are mistrusted.

If Obama's defenders in the press and elsewhere didn't so strongly hide all of his outright lies and distortions, he'd look as absurd as he truly is.

When the President is a proven lying sack of sh!t like this one is, yes, he does have to back up his words with proof. And the sworn statements of impartial witnesses.
He didn’t release his birth certificate, Matt. He released a clearly forged virtual COLB on-line.
He still hasn’t released a valid birth certificate.
He has hidden virtually his entire history, and evidently the news media aren’t interested in exploring any of it.
What grades did he get in school and college, Matt? No interest in that?

I'm not so sure it's about the grades. It could be about the titles of the courses he took. Think of the reaction if his transcripts at Occidental and Columbia were loaded with courses like "African Studies 101" and "Economics 210: How to Create a Socialist Economy in America."
