Mark Levin Savages Karl Rove’s ‘Diabolical’ Anti-Tea Party PAC: ‘We’re Being Stabbed In The Back’
Mediaite ^ | Noah Rothman

Posted on 02/05/2013 6:50:39 AM PST by JohnPDuncan

Conservative radio host Mark Levin went after former George W. Bush advisor, Karl Rove, during his radio show on Monday after Rove announced the formation of a new PAC that would aid moderate Republican politicians against tea party challengers in primary races. Levin called Rove’s effort ‘diabolical’ and listed the many GOP officeholders who would not be in power but for the tea party insurgency.

“We’re being stabbed in the back,” Levin declared.

“Here’s a project funded by crony capitalists, funded by corporatists — who are not conservative — funding a group called the Conservative Victory Project,” Levin began. “This is the sort of thing Barack Obama does; this is a thing Marxists do; they give a name to themselves which has nothing to do with what they’re really up to in order to try and control the propaganda.”

“I’m just showing you how diabolical this effort is,” Levin continued.

He read a portion of the mission statement of the new PAC, taking issue most with the organization’s stated agenda of “imposing discipline” on the Republican Party. Levin listed a number of sitting Republican officeholders who emerged from the primary process backed by tea party support. Levin suggested that it was the tea party which imposed discipline on the GOP.

“The diversity that comes to the Republican Party is through the conservative and tea party movement, not through the Republican establishment,” Levin said. “They backed [Charlie] Crist in Florida. They backed the moderate lieutenant governor in Texas. They put up a moderate attorney general in Kentucky to try and beat Rand Paul. They backed the moderate-to-liberal Republican longtime serving Senator Bob Bennett serving in Utah.”

Lindsey Graham might have a challenger for her seat in ‘14. Just announced yesterday that there is “a 50% chance that State Sen. Lee Bright will run.

This is one of the many “moderates” that have to go. Thank God that SC has Sen. Tim Scott to counter Graham’s damage in the Senate.

In the end, Mark Levin and Rush always end up getting on board with whoever Karl Rove and the establishment Republicans shove down our throat.

Sadly, yep, as certain as sunrise.

Levin needs to stop immediately jumping down the throat of anyone who even mentions third party. Until enough people actually abandon the Republican party nothing will change. I think Levin and Rush could go a long way toward making that happen.

FRiend, it is easier and more gratifying for them to rail against Obama and liberal Democrats, as if that ever accomplished a friggin' thing.

Levin and Rush are like watchdogs who waste so much time barking at the mailman out front that burglars step in through the back door, clean out the house, and murder the homeowners. But by golly, the "watchdogs" are sure giving that damned mailman what-for!

People, valuable assets on our side and threats to Obama and his gang are being methodically eliminated by design. Kyle's death was the latest of dozens, yet Levin and Rush won't touch it with a ten-foot pole. Too many people would call them "kooks," and we can't have that!

Just as they were too weak to back most of we conservative Americans when we said NO to Romney. Rush and Levin, if they were really what they need to be, would have screamed bloody murder, refused Romney outright at the very beginning, drawn the line in the sand that the rest of us did (Romney LOST because of it), and refused a GOP that crossed it. Instead, Rush and Levin "got on board" and LOST. Maybe it's because they're too afraid of being rejected, or maybe it's because they and their loved ones have been threatened. Regardless, they're watchdogs barking at the mailman while bad guys waltz in the back door: enablers of harm.

Okay, Levin. What are you specifically doing to recruit and elect conservatives? Anyone can rant and rave on the radio.

1. There are plenty of ‘third parties’, find one and support it.

2. Levin supported Bachmann and Santorum in the primaries, neither bothered to get on the ballot in VA. They must of have been really interested in being president.

3. Levin explained his position on supporting Romney, it was no brainer.

“...Karl Rove Republicans are no different from the Democrats, ...”

So true!! This is why we need term limits for ALL of these politicians who care more about climbing the DC social ladder and getting invited to the “right” parties in the Beltway. They ALL need to go home, RINO’s, democrats, all of them.

I agree with what you say. I believe competition within the GOP will produce the better candidate. Remember this, Akin was not the Tea Party candidate, Sarah Steelman was.

TAKE BACK THE GOP

Won't happen. The party pooh-bahs are changing the rules at every level, beginning at the Tampa convention, and hoarding its cash in order to freeze the TEA Party movement out.

The Republican Party is beyond repair at this point, so the quicker it burns to the ground, the quicker we can build a new Conservative Party.

We’re (the tea party) doomed without leadership and direction. It’s up to you, Rush, & Sarah to focus the efforts of the tea party. A hefty responsibility, I know, but it’s the truth. A loose coalition of local tea party groups worked in 2010, but with the re-election of Obama, we’re disheartened.

I’ve voted for two RINOs McCain and Romney. Ain’t no way I’m making the same mistake again. I’ll continue to support local Republicans but senate and president I'll vote for a Conservative or Tea Party candidate instead.

To Paraphrase a certain show:

You can defeat us one by one, and those who follow us, and those who follow them, on and on, every conservative, every tea party group. Until there’s no one left to defeat. You will have failed as leaders of the GOP Establishment. And you will be alone.

It’s over because we’ve decided it’s over. Now get the hell out of our Party!

Seems like just yesterday this was ‘free speech’

What an utterly insulting and disingenuous comment.

This has NOTHING to do with free speech matters. Mark has no issue with the Constitutionality of what Rove is doing.

All Mark is doing is shining the light on the evil and devious course that Rove is taking.

I listened to Mark's 1st hour yesterday and it was pure genius. He powerfully laid out the case against the utter fraud that is Rove.

Rove and his evil gang are purposely laying out a path to defeat ALL Conservatives who would pose a threat to the GOP-e and their Statist friends in the Federal leviathan.

It is very apparent from your comments that you either have an issue with Levin or that you are a true RINO at heart. No true Conservative would conclude Mark is contradicting his positions on Free Speech matters.

Again, your comment about "free speech" is laughably juvenile and plain wrong.

The GOP is part of the two party system in people’s mind ...

Judging by the tone of consumer comments on MSM news sites, the GOP is nearly equally contemptible as the "liberal" side in "people's mind."

"People" sneer at liberalism as much as they do at "stupid Republicans."

Risk is the price you pay for opportunity.

Your mindset is that going third party is too big a risk; less risk is to remain with the GOP. Hence less opportunity, as the GOP remains fixed in people's minds as about as bent on more and bigger government, as the Democrat party. A balance of Americans is thinking, "screw both of 'em."

VOTE WISE, however, decades of ginning and manipulation have leveraged a minority into elected representation. MSM and pop culture representation parallel each other, two minor factors, smaller groups, look bigger, while the larger balance of Americans, ignored and invisible inn the MSM and pop culture, as well as often frauded out of representation in political and elected venues. What's happening here is what happens when a minority attempts to enforce its will on the majority. This is what the Founders ultimately sought to neutralize with the Constitution.

And so it woul be neutralized if we Americans regained and guarded the integrity of the voting franchise. That's where it starts.

And seeing as how "the two party system" is absolutely in "people's mind - for better or worse" pretty much "one is as bad as the other," it may also be the exactly correct timing for a third party.

FRiend, as long as liberals are anywhere near leadership in the party, as they are in the GOP, then the GOP is the wrong party. Obama isn't the enemy. Liberalism is the enemy. Romney's defeat proves that more Americans understand this than not.

Getting donations from very rich Republicans to 'voice their opinions' in commercials? Seems like 'speech' to me and this guy:

On Thursday's Mark Levin Show: Mark says that the First Amendment was defended today when the Supreme Court stood up for liberty in their decision in “Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission.” Mark speaks with David Bossie of Citizens United as they discuss how the Court's decision upheld free political speech and the impact of it. The leftists don't want us to have free speech; they want to run our lives and re-write the Constitution. .

Stop getting distracted about a Third Party. The GOP already has the infrastructure in place, ballot access, funds and everything else. Take over the local county GOP and that’s how we win.

History tells one that to attempt such is a futile effort. The GOP is a contemptible organization, run by arrogant anti-Conservative Statists.

There will be no widespread "organized" development of a third party.

What will most likely happen is a set of events and a charismatic leader or two intersecting at the right moment in history to cause a massive shift of power and people to a true second party.

Then the likes of Rove, the Bushes, and most of the GOP-e can move to the party of their beliefs -- the RAT party.

Indeed you're correct, voting for Romney was very much a "no brainer," absolutely as effective as voting for an orange juice can. And would have been as effective if the bastard had won.

"No brainer" exactly.

The GOP is the only way to take over, we outnumber these frauds. We just need to show up at the local meetings elect chairman that are on our side etc.

Poppin’ Fresh needs to behonest with himself...come out of the closet, and join the Democrat Party. As far as I am concerned; we need a third party...the current two are merging...we are being played.
