Michelle Obama’s posterior again the subject of a public rant (Alabama FB Coach on School Lunches)

They’re at it again.

The latest public rant against Michelle Obama’s effort to promote low-calorie school lunches was recently caught on tape in Alabama — the usual protest against the federal government meddling in local business. And then it quickly found its way around to the first lady’s posterior.

“Fat butt Michelle Obama,” said Bob Grisham, a high school football coach who was surreptitiously recorded by one of his students. “Look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight.”

Grisham, who was suspended Monday, is neither the first nor the most high-profile person to feel moved to comment on the first lady’s physique. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has repeatedly called her Michelle “My Butt” Obama. And Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, the Wisconsin Republican, issued an apology after he was caught commenting on her “large posterior.” (Grisham has also said he misspoke.)

Michelle Obama obviously is not the first first lady to be subjected to criticism for the way she looks. Hillary Clinton was accused of having “cankles” — slang for chubby ankles. One of her predecessors was immortalized in song by the group Mission of Burma: “I’m haunted by the freakish size of Nancy Reagan’s head /No way that thing came with that body.”

But what is it with Michelle Obama’s critics and the fixation with her derriere?

Hilary! didn't go around demanding other people shrink their ankles. Nancy didn't go around demanding other people shrink their heads. Michelle, "my butt" goes around demanding other people diet.

That's why. She's a hypocrite.

Well, if her butt didn't have its own gravitational field exerting a pull on neighboring planets, I suppose there would be fewer grounds for complaint. :-)

Yes, he does. I think the writer might be lying a little to get Limbaugh’s name in the article.

The fixation on Moochie’s butt is because it's 4 feet 8.5 inches wide (U.S. Standard Rail Gage). U.S. SRG is the width of two Roman chariot horses butts. Somehow, that is appropriate for Moochie.

I’ll bet Rogers & Hammerstein never imagined anything like Moochelle when they wrote for “SOUTH PACIFIC”: “My doll is as dainty as a sparrow; Her figure is something to applaud. Where she’s narrow she’s narrow as an arrow. And she’s BROAD...where a BROAD...should be B-R-O-A-D!”

LOL!
Her caboose is a region of space time that prevents anything, including light, from escaping?
It’s particularly galling to read of school kids complaining of not getting enough to eat, then to see her stuffing her face with junk.

When Michelle Obama goes camping, the bears hide THEIR FOOD in the trees.

While she rested on a beach in Hawaii, several members of Greenpeace tried to push Michelle back into the water.

If Michelle’s butt gains just 5 more pounds, it will be given it’s own Zip code.

moocher wouldn’t get so much scrutinous criticism if she wasn’t telling the rest of us what we ought to, and ought not to, eat.

Her Butt is so big that it should have its own Congressional District.

LOL, funniest posts on this thread that I've seen here in a while.

But seriously, folks.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Mooch-elle might just have an eating disorder? (And she might be compensating by forcing kids to eat stringbeans?)

I have no special knowledge (luckily), this is just a suspicion that I've developed from a few un-fun years of observation.

WashPost’s Krissah Thompson Gives Readers Distorted Picture of Fight Over Voter ID Laws

By Ken Shepherd | June 07, 2012 | 17:20

In today’s 16-paragraph page A6 story, “Legal challenges tie up new voting restrictions,”* the Washington Post’s Krissah Thompson reported that many “[s]tricter ID laws and other controversial voting restrictions” could be held up in the courts until after November election.

At no point in her story, however, did Thompson note recent polling shows 70 percent of Americans back photo ID for voting. What’s more, while Thompson noted Obama/Holder Justice Department staffers are working to thwart “an effort by Florida’s Republican secretary of state to remove noncitizens from voter registration lists, saying it is illegal to conduct such a purge this close to an election,” she failed to note that in this instance, it may well be the Obama administration that is violating federal law by refusing to assist Florida officials.

After Words: Maggie Anderson, “Our Black Year: One Family’s Quest to Buy Black in America’s Racially Divided Economy,” hosted by Krissah Thompson, The Washington Post

About the Program

In “Our Black Year,” Maggie Anderson writes about the year her family spent engaged in the economic experiment of buying exclusively from African-American owned business - and how difficult that was to do in her home area of Chicago.  She discusses the importance of what she calls conscious consumerism with Washington Post reporter Krissah Thompson.

For more information on the experiment, go to www.ourblackyear.com.
