AUSTIN – You know America is changing when leftists have even infiltrated Texas schools.

According to the website txcscopereview.com, a lesson plan for 6th graders in government schools reads as follows:

Notice socialist/communist nations use symbolism on their flags representing various aspects of their economic system. Imagine a new socialist nation is creating a flag and you have been put in charge of creating a flag. Use symbolism to represent aspects of socialism/communism on your flag. What kind of symbolism/colors would you use?

I hope you are right. I’ve never been to Lubbock, but it is an area I would consider living. Well, not in Lubbock. It is too big of a town for me.

Firing the people who implemented this ridiculous and obnoxious idea would be acceptable, depending on the caliber used.

Thanks TurboZamboni.

I think more than half the population of California has arrived in Texas, and we’ve got more coming here from the North East every day.

We are being overwhelmed by leftists!

Just FYI: my son is mid-20s now. In junior high, in SoCal, he was required to ‘be Muslim’ for a day. This was before 9/11. I had no idea until he told me about it a couple of years ago. This attempt to subvert our freedoms and our representative Republic is insidious. Unfortunately they are succeeding. Beware!

There was a controversial TV show back in the 80s, aired on one of the broadcast channels iirc (or maybe even PBS) that covered a foreign takeover of the US and the indoctrination of American children to undermine their loyalty to the US.

I can’t remember the name for the life of me, but I do remember that the penultimate scene involved the “teacher” having the students cut apart the US flag, ostensibly so they could each have a piece of it for themselves.

Also, I think it ran on PBS ... was not “Amerika”.

From the article: Texas legislators looked none too kindly on this revelation as they questioned the curriculum’s creators at a recent hearing.

Just proves what I have been saying all along. If parents stay involved and get conservatives elected, even to school boards this stuff will be nipped in the bud, if it happens at all.

Well, that’s “Youth Serves the Furhrer” and at the bottom, “All tenyearolds in the HJ ( Hitler Youth )”. I guess that’s a “goal,” that all ten year olds should join.

If that is the case then you may need some conservatives from the NE to make it so uncomfortable that they move back. I promise to blend in if I move to TX, although I do not expect to be called a Texan by the locals, I will try my best so outsiders will at least think I am a Texan. I certainly don't want to make TX into PA in the way people from CA want to make TX a project for liberalism.

“A barbed wire fence”

You are right.
I spent almost ten years in the formerly Communist countries of central Europe.
One notable spot was in Slovakia, where just across the Danube was a very short strip of Austria.
It was one of the few spots where freedom seekers would try to swim the Danube to freedom.
Many were shot from a two story concrete building with three gun ramps on the roof. The building is still there.
There is now a monument to those that were shot, trying to escape to the west.
One good story is the guy who built a hot air balloon and took his family across in the middle of the night.

With half of the US in love with Obumbo, it is not out of the question that the USA could become the USSA.
Every freedom lover had better be preparing an escape plan.
