F U B O!
More bait and switch.
So if I want to give my rifle to my nephew I have to go to a licensed gun dealer and pay to give it away?
Damn right. And registration ALWAYS leads to confiscation at some point in time. History shows the proof of this. But in a way, this is a good thing for them to try. Keep the issue boiling at a steady simmer for our side (which includes loads of democrats in some very pro gun states. Keep the reality that the RAT's are gun grabbers front and center in the minds of the people right up till the 2014 election cycle. Then hopefully we'll see a repeat of the 1994 election and gain a firmer grip on the House and take back the Senate. Then, with a veto proof majority we can keep the usurper on the bench till we can take over the Oval, too.
So, whoever was saying the Feinstein Assault Weapons ban was a decoy is obviously the winner...
======================= We all know the "assault weapons ban" is nothing short of idiocy and has been proven a waste of time. Same with the magazine bans. Anyone who supports them has questionable motives and every gun owner see's it this way. Anyone who supports these bans is dishonest to say the least.
We keep hearing that "most gun owners support stronger background checks". Well again, BS; and here is why: We know they can't be trusted to keep it honest and simple. We know THEY control the decisions on who gets a green light and who doesn't... and they can change the requirements anytime they like. We also know it's nothing more than disguised registration.
So, what would I support?
- Let us take weapons to an FFL for checks. this does a few good things for sellers and buyers. It gives the seller some peace of mind that the buyer isn't a felon and it gives the buyer the opportunity to check and make sure the gun isn't stolen. Meeting at a gun shop also reduces your risk of getting jacked by some craigslist thug in a dark parking lot. The problem is, the possible risks are just not worth it.
First, it's yet another way for FFL's to rape us for 40 bucks every time we sell a 100 dollar rifle just like they do when they sign for a UPS package for us. It pi#@$es us off!
Second, we don't trust government to purge the record of the names, SSN's and firearm serial numbers as soon as the check is complete. They have proven time and again that they cannot be trusted and cannot keep their promises. We also know THEY control the guidelines for approving the sale. Hell, all they would have to do is classify nail-biters as a public risk (like they already have for Tea Party conservatives) and you are done, no guns for you.
Also, the arbitration process for getting OFF the list is a joke, it can't be done... ask anyone who has tried. It doesn't matter if it's accidental, justified or not.
See, I can tell them what sort of measures I would support, but in the same breath it is important to let them know it can never come to pass because they cannot be trusted; and that's the very reason the Constitution prohibits them from meddling with this right to begin with.
Why is the SERIAL NUMBER and MODEL NUMBER needed for a background check? It seems to me that you should ONLY check the person and be done with it. Nothing is gained with serial and model numbers,UNLESS someone is trying to build up a database for later confiscation (which, of course, our government denies they want to do)
If someone is so unstable they cannot own a gun, why are they still on the street? (with access to cars, gasoline, swords, knives, etc)
I heard on CNN that the clip fits into the Mag /S
That’s true. You just take an adapter that connects the stripper clip to the magazine and push down on the bullets in the stripper clip until the magazine is loaded. Its Great.
Sure beats loading those mags one round at a time.
Stripper Clip on the Right.
Magazine on the left.
“The goal is to get the bill to the Senate floor next month...”
It’s probably no coincidence that the U.N. Small Arms Treaty
also comes up for debate in the UN next month.
Hmmm. What did Thomas Jefferson say about eternal vigilance and liberty?
As for magazine size, I use standard sized magazines in my ARs (that would be 30 rounds. This is about as arbitrary as cosmetics of a weapon.
If it safety that we are after, then the government should drop the registration and $200 tax stamp on silencers. That will save a lot of people's hearing.
No. Any power they attempt to exert here should be seen as illigitimate and ignored by the strongest terms possible.
If they send enforcers with illegal orders to enforce their unConstitutional edicts...
Defend your Rights with force.
Go after criminals and the mentally ill!
No he isn't. I corresponded with him two weeks ago. He is a gutless, unprincipled politician (I just left out a few expletives). His reply was, I am paraphrasing, in light of the Newton, CT shootings, he will keep an open mind. He went on to write that he will consider all legislation.
If Toomey was pro 2a then he would write that he would fight to maintain and extend our 2a rights.
Toomey also voted to confirm John F'n Kerry, an American traitor. Toomey has no principles, but worse than that, he doesn't understand that there are over 5 million gun owners in PA that he could appeal by having some principles.
So in my book, he needs an opponent in the next election. He certainly will not get anything out of me but me bad mouthing him. He is now GOPe ... Might as well be dead.
I honestly hadn’t heard a word of that; his aide say he wasn’t voting against 2A, and would block any AWB. He HAD principles when we TP put him in; if he’s gone GOPe, then he needs booting-out. I need to do some serious research instead of taking the aide’s word about him. Thanks for the tip-off.
Thank you for contacting me about gun control. I appreciate hearing from you.
As you may know, January 16, 2013, President Obama announced a variety of gun policy measures in response to the Newtown, CT killings. I therefore value knowing your views on this important issue, which is important to me as I carefully review the President's proposals. Like many Pennsylvanians, I believe that Second Amendment rights are important and must be protected, but there may be areas of agreement with the White House that can be addressed to improve public safety. I also believe that people who use guns in an illegal manner or harm others with them should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
That said, we have consistently observed that mass killings are the result of serious mental illness. We therefore need to better protect ourselves from mentally ill individuals who seek to carry out such atrocities, including improved background checks. We also need to review and improve how we take care of the mentally ill. As I continue working with my Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle on public safety, please be assured that I will keep your views about firearms in mind.
Thank you again for your correspondence. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of assistance.
He doesn't get the part of the 2a that says, "shall not be infringed." Plus, confirming John Kerry really shows Toomey's colors. Only a RINO would confirm Kerry. Toomey is a spineless pussy. If he was a man, a patriot, he would be making an argument about expanding 2a rights instead of being on the defensive.

No Bill or face defeat in the next election. Tea party RULES!!!
- no brains in the White Hut: :
Wow; you’re right. He’s a wet rag on the US Constitution. Maybe I could mail him a functioning brain, pair of balls or a spine.
I always thought Toomey was a Tea Party guy. I guess not.
Give your rifle to your nephew last Christmas with a ribbon on it
Then borrow it
Obama and the left like retroactive bullsiht
I think the Tea Party in Pa embraced him because he was so much better than the opposition. To tell you the truth, I am not a Tea Party guy. I am a conservative and always have been. The Tea Party has too many populous tendencies for me.
I was over at my local gun store this afternoon when they received a shipment of AR-15 magazines. They didn’t even bother putting them on the shelf. They simply wheeled the cases out with a couple of dollies and wrote the price on the front of the boxes. All ten cases were sold by the time I left forty minutes later.
Time to call your favorite Senate Dem and demand that they include this AR ban ‘for gibby’.
Time for Senate Republicans to help O and Feinstein out and offer amendments to add this AR ban to their bill(and then vote against the bill, lets not go overboard.)
Help Dems be ‘principled’. Do it for gibby and the little ones.
I'm just sayin'
No its not semantics, they are different devices that perform different functions
Ping for later use.
Toomey lost me when he said he supported the sodomization of the US military.
I cannot vote for him again.
Well, that really does it for me. There is no place for faggots in the military and no place for women in combat. People can either take my word on that or we will continue to lose wars.
BTW, the reason we continue to lose wars is because of faggots in Washington, some Republicans included. I have no idea where real men have gone in the country.
Re: Gun Control - Professor Rummel’s stuff is always worth a look. He coined the term democide, meaning death by government. He estimates that in the twentieth century alone various governments have killed 262 million of their citizens. Most of those killed were in countries without a second amendment. His stats will surprise you.
Main article: Democide
Rummel is the creator of the term democide: “the murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide, and mass murder”. He has further stated: “I use the civil definition of murder, where someone can be guilty of murder if they are responsible in a reckless and wanton way for the loss of life, as in incarcerating people in camps where the may soon die of malnutrition, unattended disease, and forced labor, or deporting them into wastelands where they may die rapidly from exposure and disease.”
His research concludes that the death toll from democide is far greater than the death toll from war. After studying over 8,000 reports of government-caused deaths, he estimates that there have been 262 million victims of democide in the last century and that six times as many people have died at the hands of people working for governments than have died in battle.
See link below after this teaser:
“He argues that there is a relation between political power and democide. Political mass murder grows increasingly common as political power becomes unconstrained. At the other end of the scale, where power is diffuse, checked, and balanced, political violence is a rarity. “The more power a regime has, the more likely people will be killed. This is a major reason for promoting freedom.” He concludes: “Concentrated political power is the most dangerous thing on earth.””
“No its not semantics, they are different devices that perform different functions.”
I too have been frustrated at trying to explain the difference. A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for setting the record straight, it’s obvious that a gun will not function with a ‘clip’.
Ding ding ding ding!! We have a winner! That is the bottom line. They want a database for round two.
Listen-up you socialist, liberal, ignorant FOOLS!
It's not a government-given right, it is an inalienable right!!
It's not a hunting right. It's not a target shooting right. It's not simply a self-protection right.
I have the God-given right (and responsibility) to defend myself, my family, and my possessions AND MY RIGHTS from thieves - WHATEVER kind of thief they might be!! I won't compromise. I won't compare. I won't retreat. I won't relax. I won't give up.
YOU can go ahead and do whatever you want! As for me - I KNOW FREEDOM and I won't be a slave to you or your new world order.
No, they will create a whole new criminal class of honorable, law abiding citizens who failed to dot an "I" or cross a "T" with a new jumble of paperwork to fill out. Didn't Waco start over Koresh not having the right permit or some such nonsense?
You know that AR you paid $1,500 for? I’ll give you $900.
Figured this bill would bomb.
I have a Butler Hot Lips 25 mag and a Butler loader for my Ruger 22 LR. The loader was a necessity as my fingers are not large and strong like a man’s.
Thanks for the link.
You seriously need to eat something, even a zombie or two would put some meat on your bare bones.
Well, I have that Hot Lips one and I ordered one from the actual Ruger company website so at some time in the after life I should get that Ruger made one. I'm still waiting for boxes of 22 LR HPs that I ordered a month ago - I have no 22 lr ammo. As JRandomFreeper says, when I get that PINK rifle this week, it's a club until I find ammo.
Please eat - your bony body looks sad.
This is the best way to have no functioning military. We have a volunteer military - how many straight men want to sign up with homosexuals and women in their fox holes? To do that would be suicide.
I am a woman and smart as hell, but no way do I have the strength of a man. I don't want him to think he has to protect me when the enemy is moving on the foxhole. I have no business being there. I'm so damn smart I could be the medic to save your life behind the lines, but my brains cannot physically fight like you guys. Why these idiots did this makes no sense except to weaken the military.
Well I hope that you can get that loader in pink so it matches! :)
it’s still incrementalism and they’re just going to keep going for more.
best to just draw a line in the sand and oppose it altogether.
“A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie.”~Vladimir Ilyich Lenin
"Senate Bill A1234 stating as follows: 'A bill to repeal and abolish all previous Federal Gun Laws effective immediately.' The reasons are obvious, no explanation necessary.
Senator Reid, can we have an immediate floor vote?
