It would also try to curb gun sales in states with more relaxed gun laws to buyers in states with stricter laws.”

Don’t they have to be shipped to a licensed dealer in your state?Doesn’t that dealer have to follow the laws of your state?

capacity bans on “potential life savers” is absurd.

This is about registration.

Most inner-city tribal parasites and street-level cartel employees don't buy their weapons at gun shows.

That's specifically targeting INDIVIDUALS who exercise their Constitutional Right to Bear Arms, and are the SAME targets of Tax Laws that want to keep them at the mercy of Beaureaucrats who fear for self-defense-armed citizenry.

Run background checks and drug tests for EBT's and Obamaphones, and see who's left standing......

They will pass something just to pass something. It will not do anything to reduce crime or to address the causes of Sandy Hook or the Colorado shooting. These snakes realize that they overstepped their bounds, so an outright ban is not going to happen. Magazine limitations and expanded background checks are the most likely measures to pass. I think we can still stop the magazine restrictions, but I think something involving increased background checks will probably pass.

The existing laws already cover what they are replicating to give the appearing of "doing something". I purchased a rifle from a WA dealer and had to shipped to my FFL in ID to do the paperwork. As an ID resident, I can't buy or sell a firearm inside CA. Neither can a CA resident buy or sell outside CA. I can drive to Las Vegas, NV and purchase a long gun since ID has a border contiguous with NV. In theory, I could take that long gun (bolt action) back to CA. I could not bring an AR-15 in CA. A handgun "imported" into CA must be "registered" within 60 days. There are piles of laws already on the books. We really don't need more.

Back in ‘09 I bought a whole bunch of Glock Factory 33 Round magazines. I bought them over the course of a few months at prices ranging from $25 to $33 each.

On CTD today, where I got about half of them, these same magazines are $189.95.......after this news, I expect them to go up over $200 or higher. If they don’t go for Universal Checks and just go for mag size limits our RINOs in Congress might just appease on that and then it’s the first big cut on the confiscation tree.

Not just no. Hell no! F’n Hell NO!

This is what leftists do, they nibble away at your freedoms
a little bit at a time. Don’t fall for it.

The important part...

The right of the people to keep and bear arms

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

Not limited by amount of powder/ball or by number or
in any other way. Period!

Anything else is unconstitutional and an attempt to
subvert the very basis of our government.

I was talking to my father yesterday (watches CNN all day long), and he said (head down), “I think we need to limit the magazines to 10.” I asked, “Well, Dad, what if you are accosted by three somebitches that need to be put down? Do you feel comfortable with 10 rounds? ‘Cause I sure as Hell don’t. I have 15, and carry a second mag.” The nature of the threat has changed. I used to carry a .357 6-shot revolver, but now I don’t fear having to kill a car, I’m faced with a damned flash mob of dozens of Amish. Semi-auto, no choice. And these bastards want to take it away from me? Give me a tiny magazine?

Mom and Dad declared they watch Fox some, but couldn’t tune the TV to get it. I just told them I give up until they get off the CNN crack.

They really can’t stop it. Under the Gun Owners Protection Act passed back in the 1980’s I could go to PA and buy a rifle, throw it in my trunk and drive back to the northeast legally, even through states where that rifle may be banned.

This will be as effective as having all criminals register as criminals! Duh the Democrats at work. Take the word Oxymoron and apply it to anything that Obama wants Example Affordable Healthcare - oxymoron defined - a rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined. another example Federal Government Saves Money (That is definitely an oxymoron).

15 is fine. I don't want 200 rounds. But they want to outlaw my 15. It appears you do too. "Who need 10 shots to kill a dear!!!!" (a Coumo.)

I don’t have a problem with 10 round clips.

And why the Hell do you have to prove you are stupid by calling a magazine a "clip?" For God's sake, they re not "clips." They are "magazines." It matters.

Magazines contain and feed ammunition, clips are what bullets come attached together on and are jammed into a magazine with or without the clip

No it’s not semantics, they are different devices that perform different functions

***I used to carry a .357 6-shot revolver, ....... I’m faced with a damned flash mob of dozens of Amish. ****

Back in 1968 I kept a cheap pistol, unloaded, in my truck. One day I missed my entrance to the interstate and found myself in a very bad part of town.

Ever try to load a single action pistol while operating a standard transmission truck? it is not easy.

A few months later there was a major riot in another town and I read what happened to some drivers caught there.

I immediately got rid of the cheap pistol and bought me a 13 shot Browning Hi-Power. I wanted firepower!

Forty five years later I still like LOTS OF FIREPOWER!

The goal is to get the bill to the Senate floor next month, at which point lawmakers could then seek to amend the legislation by adding a ban on certain semiautomatic weapons or other provisions...

This ranks right up there with the Bart Stupak “compromise” on Obamacare. That is, it’s essentially the same thing as before but with just enough window dressing to give Democrats from red states and/or swing districts cover.

Feh!

Sure, but that's why I moved to Idaho. If it was a Class III, I would have to finish the paperwork with the local sheriff and pay my $200 ATF tax. It was a simple bolt action. Just a model that was in short supply, so I had to go out of state to find someone with product in stock.

"You won't get gun control by disarming law-abiding citizens. There's only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up, and if you don't actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time... It's a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience."

We all know a universal background check can only be enforced by registration. The public won’t stand for it and most legislators know it. I’ll be suprised if it can pass the Senate and it sure won’t pass the House.

Just to make sure I am contacting both of our quisling RINO senators to make sure they don’t crack under pressure.

What they’re really after is the universal background check. The Feds have illegally been ignoring the prohibition on maintaining a database of gun owners. No one who has any awareness of this issue thinks that the universal background check is to prevent crime. It is to register guns. And if the New York (Dinkins) and California (Lockyer) registration/confiscation episodes are any indication, you can bet real money that confiscation would be next.
