Savage: Rubio backers 'secretly working for Hillary'
WND ^ | Jan 31 2013 | Kathy Shaidle

“We are not a bilingual nation,” Dr. [Michael] Savage reminded listeners this week, as the debate raged over immigration reforms proposed by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. “Can you name one other nation on earth that has a foreign population of about 10 percent who will not speak the language of the land?”

“Why are the Republicans latching on to Marco Rubio?” Savage continued. “Just because he’s Latino? That’s enough?”

“Rubio’s personal story is inspiring. But he’s not a presidential candidate,” Savage said. “If you hear about Republicans pushing Marco Rubio in 2016, that means they’re secretly working for Hillary Clinton.”

It is called ‘vetting’ the candidates.

And, it is better to vet them early than late in the process.

If they can’t stand up to the scrutiny now, they certainly couldn’t if they did happen to get the nomination.

“If you hear about Republicans pushing Marco Rubio in 2016, that means they’re secretly working for Hillary Clinton.”

As someone who supported Rubio over Charlie Crist from the very beginning, and as someone who believes Rubio is a smart guy--sincerely conservative, and very good at explaining our point of view--I find that statement by Savage to be unmitigated bullcrap.

You know, the division of the conservative movement is going to continue to destroy us.

I am not saying Rubio must be President...but this time of calling conservatives we disagree with "agents of the enemy" needs to stop.

Seems to me that EVERY Republican we disagree with is suddenly a traitor RINO.

I heard it said of every single primary candidate last year.

And a lot of analysis shows that, whatever fraud the Kenyan Assclown committed, our side may have won if more Republicans hadn't stayed home.

I'm just sayin'.

Stop this BS about loser Romney, “our side may have won if more Republicans hadn’t stayed home”. The truth is the Repubs pushed an unworthy candidate that many decided was not the solution to our problems. When are the Romney boot lickers going to shut the fluck Up?!?

"If Marco Rubio were Mark Robbins, no one would have ever heard of him..."

Absolutely right. From now on, I'm going to use this line on conservative friends and family who think he's the savior of the Republican party.

The truth is the Repubs pushed an unworthy candidate that many decided was not the solution to our problems.

You sound like a liberal who blames everyone else for the loss.

Conservatives did not coalesce around a candidate in the primary. Romney was not wanted in the primary. He had no support until conservatives continued the circular firing squad on any alternative.

So, stop the baby-whining "the Repubs pushed" crap and look yourself in the mirror.

Just as this thread is all about tearing down a decent, but not perfect, conservative (Rubio) we are repeating what we did in the 2012 primary.

Rubio was RINO before he ran for Senator.

The GOP needs to stop pushing Liberal RINOs like Rubio....and stop blaming conservatives when the RINOs are called out

I thought that described pretty much the entire leadership of the GOP...

They sure as heck are not working for Conservatives.
