A genius and a national treasure.

Steyn. Not Hagel.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall
Who hates Israel most of all?

You hate Israel, Barack, that is true,
But Hagel hates them more than you.

Love Steyn! “Prevention/containment - what difference does it make?” Classic! If only the Left had the brains and wit to understand when they are being shown as the seditious fools they are.

At times it is hard to really tell whether this Administration is being malignant, criminal, or simply woefully incompetent. In most cases, it is a combination of "all of the above". The only things they seem to be good at are burning up the Consitution, throwing America over the cliff, and making the GOP look like monkeys.

Talk about a "soft" target! For Steyn it is a breeze. For the hapless GOP, it is a Bridge Too Far.

I have given up on contacting elected officials, but I will make an exception for this coming vote on Hagel. I am going to phone every Republican Senator to say that a vote for Hagel is a vote against our country’s reputation. It is an insult to every previous holder of that office, and to every person now serving in our armed forces. He is so NOT qualified. It will be a vote that said Senator will never live down.

“What difference does it make!”

The SecDef surely made a difference when Don Rumsfeld held the office. The “news reporters” thought he was Darth Vader.

So now it doesn’t matter? Hagel is just a figurehead? Sickening!

As always with Steyn, I laugh while I cry.

The guy was a moron in the Senate whose claim to fame was that he was a “maverick” like John McCain. Now there’s a great comparison. Nothing like proving how dumb you are as opening your mouth only to insert your feet.

Like many VietNam era vets he came home anti-war and anti-defense establishment. That philosophy is a legitimate viewpoint perhaps for an elected Senator, but not very useful for a CEO of the Defense Department.
