Mayor Dudley of Oak Harbor in the video is a Marine. He was just being polite to the idiot councilman. I shouldn’t be surprised that the libtard councilman said “check your firearm with the police chief”, but liberals are a traitorous, brain-dead bunch. The lib was the one who acted like a spoiled brat while the vets in the video were the ones who acted with class.
idiot councilman is right..(imho) he should’ve publicly apologized to the armed/unarmed citizens after the (brainless) vote and then left the mtg.
Loved how the Mayor described the oath of office and how elected officials obviously failing that affirmation. He basically made it clear why we have the 2nd amendment... The good guys won this one. Hope a motion is made to censure the jackwagon that left the chamber.
I guess they never got around to discussing the parks. It sounded like the young vet came about that not to talk about the 2nd Amendment. He sure brought that issue to a victorious conclusion though!

The Mayor made an interesting point. Each of those council members swore an oath. Two of them disregarded it. Says all you need to know about the Lib mindset.
On the local news when this happened the mayor made some additional remarks to a reporter after the video went viral. He said some things about the oath, and said something to the effect of “This guy is a military veteran, and served his country to keep our freedoms. If anything, the council should be commending him instead of vilifying him.”

Picked up on this video last week - sent the link to my wife’s work so she could let her co-workers (most of them anyhow) have a good moment and I also sent it to my work so a few co-workers could see it. One told me it was some of the best-spent 9 minutes he had for some while and was preparing to spread the wealth.

For the most part, Oak Harbor is a very conservative small town. Being home to a large Naval Air Station with lots of Navy retirees might have something to do with that.
