Hillary Clinton ‘not inclined’ to run for president in 2016
Washington Post ^ | 01/30/2013 | Anne Gearan

Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday that she is “not inclined” to run for president in 2016 but left the door open for what is widely considered her likely return to politics after she steps down as secretary of state.

“I’m not thinking about anything like that right now,” Clinton smilingly told a questioner. “I am looking forward to finishing up my tenure as secretary of state and then catching up on about 20 years of sleep deprivation.”

Clinton, who steps down Friday as one of the best-known secretaries of state, is also among the world’s most admired women and the object of intense speculation about her future.

At the Newseum in Washington, in a wide-ranging online question-and-answer session with students from around the world, Clinton said she will write a memoir and work on causes dear to her.

That includes the cause of women in politics, she said, even as she sidestepped a question posed by a young woman in London about whether she will reprise her 2008 run for the Democratic nomination for president.

“I do want to see more women compete for the highest positions in their countries,” Clinton said, “and I will do what I can, whether or not it is up to me to make a decision on my own future. I right now am not inclined to do that, but I will do everything I can to make sure that women compete at the highest levels not only in the United States but around the world.”

Plenty of people are eager to see her run. A super PAC supporting Clinton for president in 2016, Ready for Hillary, was registered with the Federal Election Commission on Friday.

“is also among the world’s most admired women”

Huh? I had to do a double-take and read that twice! Surely, whoever wrote this article is out-of-touch and/or delusional.

I particularly like when on her Senate “listening tour” she went to upstate N.Y. and blew smoke up those folks wazoos about how she would bring jobs to the area.
Soooo, how’d all that turn out?

Who on earth would want her for president when we have all that NEW, FRESH, YOUNG blood out there who can move on up into that position and do a REAL JOB OF LEADING this country.
She and her following just make me laugh with the entitlement mentality that oh ... she deserves to be the next preisident. The first woman. Who cares? That’s the problem with this country. The first EVERYTHING.
If the leaders would concentrate on OUR COUNTRY first and foremost instead of what they think is politically correct we would not be in this mess.
NO...she does not deserve to be president and... more importantly she is NOT QUALIFIED. Her husband was but she just followed along hanging onto those coat tails and guess what? She LOST TO BARACK OBAMA!!!
Go away hillary...don’t you realize that your time is over? You are so yesterday...you and that whole party. you are always on tv saying you won’t run... then you cackle. 2016 is a long ways away and here is your party lookign for a third term (silliness) and then promoting you. Man...you need to retire gracefully cause there will be a lot of talent who will be leaving you behind in 2016. I would go out gracefully instead of having to stand at the back of the room hoping someone will notice you.

Gawd tell me about it. Well over half of the people who have voted in every Presidential primary and election in their lives have never seen one without a Bush or a Clinton.

Bingo. “Right now” meant that very instant, and BTW she was lying anyway.

The Presidency will only be taken from her cold dead hands. She will run..even if she is an invalid. The press will ignore her health...no medical records will be revealed.

I have a $100 bet going with my liberal friend that she will run for president in 2016. Crawling on broken glass will not stop her, if she is alive.

Unfortunately, I didn't include any provisos about the last part, but I will gladly part with the money if she kicks it.

She going to do it standing up straight?

Maybe the bipartisan harpies of harridan-ism will find other abominations to run then.

I think you are right. She’ll run if she is alive, even if her health is worse than FDR’s was in 1944. The only thing that would stop her is if her health is so bad (Ariel Sharon/Hugo Chaves bad) that she can’t even make a few carefully stage-managed appearances. If she isn’t up to debates, the media will come up with a reason why her opponent is undeserving of being on the same stge with Her Heinous. Or she will lip-synch her replies.

She has said this all before back in 2009. I remember it clearly. She said she has no interest in running. I know that she is a pathelogical liar, and she will run. In addition she will be even more humiliated in the next DNC nomination.

Time to suspend this weasel word bullsh*t. Either she will run or she won't, and nobody will know until she announces. This speculative gossip-crap just keeps her alive when she doesn't deserve the publicity.

At her age and with her looks this is the last chance in her life for her to play hard to get.

".....and anyone who dares to question the state of her health will be demonized as cruel and heartless."

And, she may say "look at Roosevelt, he was in a wheelchair and he was a great president"...!

Just sayin'.........

"Or she will lip-synch her replies."

And, carry a big notebook with talking points like she did re: Benghazi questioning.

I thought of that also. If it is physically difficult for her to travel, and to stand for long periods of time, her handlers will take a page from Roosevelt's book and carefully stage her appearances. She'll be seated as much as possible during public appearances (the explanation will be that's she's sitting because she wants a more "informal" atmosphere among the people.) They'll use video broadcasts on a big screen for "Town Hall" types of events, rather than have Hillary travel there in person. It will be explained that she can reach more people at multiple sites through this method (and she can sit down and won't have to move among the people in the hall.) They will insist that any debates be held in a roundtable setting, rather than have the candidates standing at a podium. If she appears to be fatigued or ill, it will be attributed to "an unusally warm day" or some similar explanation. They will do whatever is necessary to disguise Hillary's true condition, and the media will give their full cooperation in the ruse.

I suspect she would be smarter running for cover, cause Bengazi stinks of High Treason. Rope Neckties are not comfortable.
