I can't help but notice that the signatories to this letter, which on its face takes an anti-Islamist terrorism position, are 15 'Rats (several known to be very left) and only 6 Republicans. That seems a bit strange, considering the general tendency for the GOP to be stronger on such issues. It makes one wonder how this project was handled in Congress. An alternative explanation could be that this Algemeiner deliberately left off the names of many other congressmen who supported the letter in order to make the 'Rats, especially freshman Meng, appear tougher on terrorism than they really are.

BTW, has the Obama Administration taken any position on the pending French release of this Arab terrorist?

Meng comes from a district with a lot of Jew. Had her pagan Republican* opponent won, he would be leading the charge here. I would also note that she went to Yeshiva University.
We don't know how many Republicans Meng reached out to. Do you really think that she reached out to Congresswoman Bachmann?

*Halloran is a Theodist. He is also the most conservative member of the City Council and a good guy. While I wish he had run a better campaign, it was a bad year form Republicans in NY.

Don’t think the changed anything, other reports indicate 20 signatories and that the State Dept opposes the release. It’s likely a function of who she asked.
