Yes, we are, I suspect that we were way too far down the wrong path before we ever even heard the name of Hussein Obama. He is doing everything possible to hasten the end result but we were on the path long ago.
Don't get too down-in-the-mouth. The Russian people have come back part way from Leninism, the Germans are pretty much over Hitlerism, and the Egyptians came back from Nasserism under the guidance of the Egyptian nationalist Anwar Sadat (who once faced tough interrogation himself by British security men, during WW II).
Some day people will begin to understand better that these fascist and Stalinist vogues are artificial constructs animated by the megalomania of the men who push them, who are in the end infantile and irresponsible about actuating their inner monsters with vast consequences for the larger society of the deceived.
