You haven't heard Sarah utter John McCain's name since the 2010 midterm elections when she gave him her endorsement.
That endorsement cost her dearly among some conservatives, but what was she to do? Refuse to endorse him, in fealty to the more purist amongst us? Had she done that, she would have (rightfully) been cast as an ungrateful wretch for the rest of her days.
She paid him back for launching her onto the national stage, and now doesn't owe him the time of day.
It seems every time I hear Sarah speak, she is ALWAYS laying praise at Johns feet, saying what a great Senator he is and how much of a patriot he is, yadda yadda. It wasn’t just after the 2010 elections....it’s every time she gets a chance.
I say, she already paid him back and besides that, it bothers me, that she doesn’t see the RINO that he is yet. She’s willing to see Romney and others who are, as she calls them, “Moderates”, but McCain is like a God to her, the way she talks about him. It’s really a turn off and I think it may be a big reason, many still don’t trust her.
I’m willing to look past her adoration of McCain, because I know the woman SHE is. But it is getting as old as McCain himself.
Happy to see you here, my friend (and FRiend) :)
Was hoping you would jump onto the Opus thread too, but I totally understand if you read all of the comments and just wanted to let the ‘concern’ trolls just fade out :p
Here’s to us.. (beer bottle clink).. hoping for the best.. and we shall see what Mrs. Palin will do in the next 2 years :)
I trust that she will do whatever is right for the situation.
