Going Rogue: Palin says she plans to 'shake up the GOP machine' w/ $1.2M raised through her PAC
The London Daily Mail ^ | January 29, 2013 | Leslie Larson

Once again Sarah Palin is showing that she has no plans to play by the rules.

She has parted ways with FOX News after a turbulent relationship with the conservative cable news channel, taken pot shots at pundits in the 'lame stream media' and slammed her own party for selecting Mitt Romney as the 2012 Republican presidential nominee.

Now the former Alaska governor says she'll use the $1.2 million raised through her SarahPAC to 'shake up the GOP machine' and unveiled a vague vision on how she'll get her message out to a larger audience.

News broke on Friday night that she had not renewed her $1 million annual contract with FOX News, after three years as a contributor on Roger Ailes' network.

Palin then spoke out on Saturday, in an interview with Breitbart.com, saying that she was working to 'free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom and the imperative of defending our republic and restoring this most exceptional nation.'

Calling the future 'wide open' with opportunities, she shared how she plans 'to pick battles wisely, and all in due season' - hinting that she still has a fight left in her.

Her vision for the future coincided with the financial disclosure from her Political Action Committee, SarahPAC, with records released on Monday showing she ended 2012 with nearly $1.2 million in the bank.

She raised around $20,790 between Nov. 27 and Dec. 31 and spent $67,800 during that time period on expenses including consulting, speech writing and legal fees...

Because the GOP has gone the way of the Whigs, Not the Libertarians or Conservatives like you or I or Sarah.

Just the Republicans.

Because the stood for NOTHING and now complain to us because we couldn't elect THEIR Milquetoast Mitt.

I also campaigned for him [Goldwater] in ‘64, which got me in trouble with Pierre Salinger, who was a friend at the time.

Need I say, ...with friends like that...

Otherwise, thanks for the quick and courteous reply. I'll confess that I wasn't aware of Barry Goldwater's propensity for big spending by the government back in 1964. Compared to the evil Johnson, AuH20 was surely a skinflint. But since I'm not a fan of relativism, that doesn't let him off the hook.

“A government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.”

If indeed he was only mouthing those words without conviction, then add Goldwater to the list of CINOs. Thanks to your thought-provoking comments, I'll be doing more reading about the Barry Goldwater of that era.

Go, Sarah Go!
A few grand and an early Endorsement from Sarah Palin and you are very good to go for election.
One of the remarkable things about the last election was that no one was pledging money for Mr. Romney, no car titles, no second mortgages, nada. But a smile from Sarah Palin and you are in the race.
We are coming after your discouraged Liberal GOP supporters, and your disillusioned GOP funders.
We would like your money and your ex supporters.
See you at the polls.
Everyone a liberal GOPe talks to is thinking about supporting Sarah Palin and wondering if Sarah Palin can develop an conservative alternative.
Honest government, less government, open government, lower taxes, strong military, cheaper gasoline, secure borders, Pro America foreign policy, support for Israel.. and the conservative list goes on.
Sarah is becoming.

It is just funny to see her too-late attempt that will come to nothing.

I remember when George Washington threw up his hands and said it was too late, the British had won too many battles, and went home to Mt. Vernon to sulk.

Once she starts kicking RINO butt, she’ll find a whole lot more than $1.2 million in the till.

Not to distract from all the cult like worshiping of Sarah but this just sounds like she’s short of funds and is hoping to get back in the spot light to raise a little cash to support the lifestyle that she’s become accustom to. She’s a has been political hack that couldn’t even stay in the actual office that she was elected to. Do you really think that she’ll do anything to “shake up” the GOP? Get real.

I agree.

When and if Susana Martinez is re-elected in New Mexico, for example, she will be in a much better position to run for 2016 than Sarah.

If Sarah had been wiser, she would have REFUSED McBlame’s invitation ....

It would have saved her career if she had done that....

Washington didn’t quit - but most of his men did. And when crossing the Delaware, the other two Generals determined that “conditions weren’t right” and left Washington on his own.

http://freemencapitalist.com/founding-fathers/george-washington-bio/washington-crossing-the-delaware

Excerpt:

Washington crossing the Delaware was a very gutsy move, and turned out to be the single event that shifted the momentum of the Revolutionary War. After suffering heavy losses at Long Island and Manhattan, George Washington found himself in a precarious situation. To this point he had lost the majority of the battles that they had fought, and the summer zeal of the patriots desiring to fight for their independence had faded, and his troops were deserting as the leaves turned colors and fell from the trees.

Almost half of the 5,000 men that remained of his army were ill and unfit for duty.....
