Mark Levin: Obama Not Destroying GOP, Republican Establishment Is
Real Clear Politics ^ | January 29, 2013 | Mark Levin and Sean Hannity

MARK LEVIN: Is Obama destroying the Republican Party? No, the Republican establishment is destroying the Republican Party. The only reason they’re in the majority in the House is because of conservatives — conservatives across the country, the grassroots. They lost the Senate. They like to point to two races, one in Missouri and one in Indiana. I can point to ten races where there were liberal-to-moderate Republicans who lost, and of course they never mention that.

The fact of the matter is, from my opinion, I’m not trying to project it on to you. Until the Republican leadership that has brought us McCain and Romney, that has a feckless RNC, a preposterously incompetent get-out-the-vote operation, is removed and replaced, with fresh, smart, confident, knowledgeable people, until some of our backbenchers move to the front, some of the young Tea Party conservative candidates who can articulate our vision and our principles, this is going to continue.

Obama may want to destroy the Republican Party, but the Republican Party is imploding. And, you know what, it needs to be cleansed. It needs to be cleaned out. Not for purity reasons, not for absolutism, but because it needs to be a party that stands for something. Can you tell me what the Republican Party stands for today?

SEAN HANNITY: I can tell you what they should stand for. I can tell you what the opening is, but that’s it. I could tell you that it’s frustrating sitting back here and not hearing them articulate the vision that you and I both know would save the country. Where is the party of limited government? Where is the party of freedom? Where is the party of balanced budgets? Where is the party to stop generational theft? I say these things, I listen to these pundits...

Levin gets it....but the GOP doesn’t...or they just don’t care. I swear they’re in bed with the communist takeover.

Spot on. The truism is that leadership is an extreme version of the rank and file. GOP leadership is an extreme version of country clubbers. Conservatives are an embarrassment to them. These people aren't my leader, they're my enemy.

And he still hasn’t explained why he did this. “It was stupid” is not an explanation, regardless of how many times Hannity says it is.

Best any one could determine the folks who didn't show up to vote were still objecting to the nomination of Barry Goldwater. That'd be the Rockefeller Republicans who were led out of the 1964 convention by GEORGE ROMNEY.

Think of it as the dead hand of the past reaching up from the grave to hit his misbehaving son up side the head!

They think that “moderating” by handing out amnesty and caving on other stuff is going to help them. They won’t gain anyone they will just lose the base and the base’s votes.

The photo means nothing. Your smear effort speaks more about your lack of understanding of the world than it does about Newt

the sooner conservatives to get on the outside of the r-party (in all but the solid counties and states), the better. at that point, conservatives can begin to unify.

Unless they change course, the Republican party is destined to collapse with a speed rivaling the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism in Eastern Europe twenty years ago...
