You realize, of course, that the BSA has always had gay Scout leaders. The leaders just kept it quiet. The two deep leadership rule was put in place because we couldn’t stop gays from being Scout leaders.
Of course I know that. I said “declared homosexuals”.
Once they declare as members or leaders, or once they are caught at homosexualizing , they are expelled from the order.Simple.
The Boy Scounts do not need pedophiles and fudgepackers making policy or exercising power based on homosexuality. They need to be sub rosa, or at the back of the bus if they are on it at all.
And you understand that the difference between then and now is that now, if this passes, homosexuals will be able to become scout leaders as OPEN HOMOSEXUALS.
That has the same impact as it does in the military (where homosexual men served bravely in the past but none knew they were homosexual), that their real motivation is not to serve but to ensure that everyone knows that they are homosexual, and that it is a homosexual that is serving.
In short, they become a hyphenated-member of the organization. Just like a hyphenated feminist or a hyphenated American.
That hyphenation subordinates what should be their primary motivation (serving) to a position of less importance to what their true primary motivation is (pushing the homosexual agenda).
THAT is why this is such a serious problem.
