Thanks for posting this. I’ve been trying to get the word out through some folks that have active FaceBook and YouTube channels, but the challenge I am running into is that they are introducing these bills so frequently that the list is literally out of date before I send it out.

I was thinking we should find someone who can host this information on a web page, which could then be updated as-needed. Then we could share a link to that. Any thoughts on who might be a good candidate to host that?

Thanks

The Republicans should be countering these bills right now with pro-gun bills.

1) Require a written warrant for federal agencies *and* their proxies to inspect the books of gun dealers which contain personal information about gun buyers.

2) Require a detailed annual report from any federal agency that maintains a database on civilian gun ownership, as to the use of that database, its statistics, and require that all access to that database must be logged to the particular agent or agents accessing it.

3) Require the publication of an annual report detailing all non-military arms and ammunition owned by the federal government, including its rate of consumption for training purposes.

4) Outlaw the maintenance of tactical law enforcement units and equipment by non-law enforcement federal agencies. (The Dept of Education does *not* need its own SWAT team, but it currently has one.)

5) A “Restoration of the Posse Comitatus Act, Act”.

6) Creation of a new class of voluntary Federal Firearms License (Type 12) that authorizes the civilian carrying of a loaded gun anywhere in the US, its territories or possessions, and makes it a federal offense for local or state authorities to interfere with or modify that license holder’s right to carry by invoking local or state laws. Some exclusions apply.

Just off the top of my head. I’m sure many others could be introduced.

The founders gave us the perfect firearms regulation, the second amendment needs no modifiers.

Thanks for the updates.

But, what could possibly be wrong with some of these? NOT!!!! I sort of figured that right after SHES the ignorant radical left wing extremists (demokkkrats) would throw a truck load of stuff against the wall and then get the rino’s to pick the least troubling few to compromise on. There is NO COMPROMISE! That’s why we need to keep up the pressure on elected “officials” (fed, state and local) that this will NOT be acceptable to the makers. The takers don’t care as long as the feds keep them propped up.

Molon labe.

That's true, and why I'm keeping an eye on it.
They'll try to swamp the system and hope something gets through - and anything is too much on top of the laws we already have.

The founding fathers were also very aware that when a rule is written down, there will quickly be efforts to evade, avoid, and work around it. So they calculated that only bodies of people could balance such a problem by resisting the efforts of other bodies.

This is wise, because the actual body of the 2nd Amendment can be undermined. For example, keeping voluminous records loaded with personal information about gun buyers does not, by itself, violate the 2nd Amendment. But it does facilitate the ability of a tyrant to do so, when he wants to.

Importantly, the constitution needs to be thought of as a framework, that by itself does little, and requires “enabling acts”, written laws, to function. And much of it still exists without enabling acts, so at least theoretically it cannot be enforced.

For example, the constitutional amendment for alcohol prohibition did nothing on its own. Only when the Volstead Act was passed did prohibition come into effect. And by the time it was written, it was made intentionally weak because the political tide had turned.

In any event, over time, federal, state, and local law has frequently conflicted with the 2nd Amendment, so there is a lot of housekeeping to do to erase all those bad laws.

Democrats and RINOS
GOD DENIERS AND CONGENITAL LIARS
ARE REDISTRIBUTE WEALTH INCITERS
FOR FIRST YOUR MONEY THEN YOUR GUNS
AND BE DEFENSELESS WHEN CROOKS COME

Conservatives and supporters of the 2nd amendment the Obama regime is using the 2nd amendment argument to blame gun owners for its inability to deal with the hundreds of gangland murders and shootings commited in areas under their solid control using illegally obtained firearms.

Obama’s solution to those inner city problems is to remove those rights provided by the constitution to have and bear arms from all US citizens before any search an seizure begins in those troublesome areas which by the way will never happen.

But none of those 23 so called “reforms” and unconstitutional efforts being edicted by who some call an emperor do not deal with the following issues briefly outlined below let alone insane shooters using stolen weapons. .

They won’t because instead of creating a uniformly democratic society where every citizen has an equal voice no matter what their race or ethnicity.

Obama’s policies have divided races and ethnic groups gerrymandering congressional districts where much of this criminal activity occurs.

GOPES {G-overment O-f (the) P-eople (republican party) E-lite-S} see this issue as a 3rd rail because most of it is black on black or illegal vs illegal (Mexican) activity .

GOPES are also afraid to say that policy also increased racial tension which has resited in deaths. But again GOPES accept this because of the influence of mainline socialist media which would be accusing them of “racism” if they dare to question it.

The purpose of all this hype on guns is to keep the right and conservatives focused on what the Demo-Coms describe as issues through their propaganda arm known as the MSM (mainline socialist media) not on the problems created by the “Libs” on their road of good intentions or the socialist/fascists/communists successors to comtrol over todays Democrat party;

Which is the cost ,waste, and corruption of this administration which had led to a 16 trillion dollar deficit.

Not one word addresses or offers a solution about the hundreds of gangland murders and shootings using illegaly obtained mostly handguns and revolvers .

Perpetuating the general populations ignorance and using code words like “assault rifles” they’re demonizing single shot per trigger pull semi automatic rifles, used for small game hunting or target practice. That are legal in every state but made to look like their military counterpart..

Military AR’s since Viet Nam and a DOD decision ARs are really medium caliber (22.3) machine guns designed to wound not necessarilly kill which is why they are automatic and fire as many rounds that are in its magazine once the trigger is kept in the pulled position.

They replace quick kill 30 caliber semi automatic (single shot) M-1, Springfield rifles and carbines used during WWII and Korea and approved in most states for use in big game hunting.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2977901/posts NY Post pix of shooter using handgun

Obama certainly can’t critique a system created by his ilk .Ignored in his 23 edicts is that when once caught, perps get set free with lenient sentencing from “liberal” judges or sob sister plea bargain prosecution (which Obama supports for when a Illinois state senator while introducing legislation to sentence any 15 year old as an adult,(opps they could be fatherless) Obama voted “absent” with others on that roll call vote. But that leniency is promoted by the MSM,The New York Times CNN, NBC and,ABC. There’s certainly no criticism of “no snitch” mentality partcularly in areas where these shootings are rampant.

It would be nice at these rallys if conservatives would point these facts out to Obamas adoring public.

Great idea, but likely more than congress could handle in one fell swoop, so instead of outright repeal, I would suggest “deconstruction” of the law. This would mean first tearing it apart, neutering it, returning large chunks to state authority, and otherwise making it so it cannot be resurrected.

That is, not just putting a stake through its heart, but sewing garlic in its mouth, cutting off its head, and burying it at a crossroads.
