Kitty Werthmann is a native Austrian who remembers well the Third Reich reign of terror in Europe. Kitty believes America is truly the greatest country in the world. She speaks often on socialism and how Adolf Hitler took power. This is from her 2009 essay:

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily.
No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.
Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.
After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped, preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit, and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned Earth.

After witnessing Obama and his actions over the past years, I think we can figure what comes next.
Ask yourself why, just before the start of his second term, a situation happens that sends Obama right out the gate for his second term by going after gun rights 1st thing.
Ask why he would do that with the GOP controlling the House. He knows they are not going to cooperate, so why do it?
They are going to be the reason that he will be forced to use an executive order to take away your rights. Obama is already out there whining the GOP will not compromise. He is demonizing FOX and Rush too. This is how he operates. He can also issue this EO and keep the dems in the Senate safe from having to vote on it. Imagine that if the dems had all three branches right now, and voted to grab guns it would be so obvious what they are up to. This way he can deflect the blame for “having to defy the Constitution” on un cooperative republicans.
People everywhere best be watchful. I figure another “gun attack” will happen somewhere before he appears on TV to ‘splain his EO gun grab. Obama has all the help he needs from Hollywood to stage about anything to look real.
Many people in this country trust the Government.
Anybody who trusts that bunch of spoiled , pampered, pack of long term members of Congress after watching them in action for the last 4 years is a got damned fool.

Whether a devastating hurricane, massive wildfire, crime victim in our own family, or a tyrannical government, it seems people are always seen standing around nodding heads and saying the same thing: “I never thought it could happen to me”’ It seems like learning this one lesson, that anything that can happen to someone most certainly CAN happen to you and yours, could save more lives than anything I can think of.
