Paul Ryan Heaps Praise On Hillary: If She Were President, ‘We’d Have Fixed This Fiscal Mess
Mediate ^ | Sunday January 28, 2012

Appearing on NBC’s Meet the Press this afternoon, former GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) praised Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and lamented that she did not win the presidency in 2008, as he believes that would lead to a better chance for deficit reduction today than under President Obama.

Host David Gregory showed Rep. Ryan video of Sec. Clinton speaking with him at the inaugural luncheon, which Ryan characterized as “chumming it up” over a variety of personal topics.

The congressman then praised Clinton: “Look, if we had a [Hillary] Clinton presidency, if we had Erskine Bowles as Chief of Staff of the White House or President of the United States, I think we would have fixed this fiscal mess by now. That’s not the kind of presidency we’re dealing with right now.”

He may compliment Hillary, but he is preparing for the future.

Ryan's unfortunate comment prepares Hillary for a future presidential run.

Perhaps Ryan wants to face Hillary instead of a 3rd term Obama campaign. Perhaps he is trying to divide the Democrats.

Whatever he knows, we must hope it is infinitely more than we know.

If not...we are royally f*cked.

I am preparing for WWIII or CWII (you choose)...either way, I would be happy if someone on our side takes a stand.

Go Ryan, go Rubio, go Cruz, go Palin...anyone...just frikken go.

Obama is scaring a lot of Dems. They know the score. The entire reason behind the draconian “gun-control” bill is to distract us from Benghazi. It’s all they’ve got and the leaders pushing it are all sitting comfortably in strong D states and districts. It’s a trap.

Our focus should be on F&F, Benghazi (there isn’t any US mission or ebmassy there), and a host of other corrupt wasteful Obama deals. He’s dirty.

Ryan did not say Hillary

And you could argue he meant Bill because he mentioned Bill’s Chief Of Staff

dumb is not realizing the Clintons were pragmatists, not neophyte rigid ideologues like Obama

Ryan is a drip who couldn’t carry his own state. Good mind, no backbone.

Ryan jumped the shark the day he endorsed Romney.

Hillary isn't well and needs to retire. If she doesn't, she will use this endorsement of Paul Ryan and he made a huge mistake.

Doesn't matter which Democrat you make Present, they still appoint the same old Stalinist warhorses from the same old special interests anyway.

The Hildabeast would have no more control over that than Obama.

Remember, when it comes to Democrats, the special interests control everything!

Ryan endorsing Bill (or Hillary) Clinton. Rubio endorsing Obama's amnesty program (more or less). Jeb Bush trying to move to the LEFT of Obama on amnesty. Chris Christie bashing Boehner for "holding up" the Sandy relief bill in the House, but totally silent now that Harry Reid is holding it up in the Senate.

THIS IS A F**KING "CHOICES" FOR 2016? RINOs and wannabe RATs across the board? You have got to be kidding!

PLEASE...can we get an FR list of REAL conservatives we can get behind and build a movement for NOW? And please do NOT include Sarah Palin (too obvious) or Newt Gingrich (fake conservative).

I have long held Hillary in very low esteem--not so much because of her politics (which tend to be center-left), but because of her Machiavellain ways (similar to her husband's)--but I do believe she would have made a better president than Barack Obama has made.

Of course, that is little more than the proverbial example of one's being damned with faint praise...

RYAN DID WHAT ? NO HE DIDN’T
Republicans should remember when they get on these shows they’re always “on camera”. Ryan was refering to the 1st liar Bill Clinton specifically metioning Erskin Boles, not to the 2nd liar Hillary Clinton. ABC is doing the number on Obama and busily promoting Hillary for her run which the lead paragraph is doing plus putting Ryan on the defensive from attacks re FR comments posted here .
