5. I am not a member of the fundamentalist American Protestant church. I don’t know what their opinion of science is, but for those I do know, many are against science, and believe scientists are anti-God. I don’t know why this is so.

I think the stereotyping can run both ways—as I AM an evangelical Christian who nonetheless accepts and embraces all non-agenda driven (as bray would put it) science, scientific efforts, and scientists.

In fact, I believe as does Dinesh Desouza, that legitimate science more often than not helps EXPLAIN the case for God than refutes it.

Years ago, I got fed up with my job at a newspaper and for a time left to work in the legitimate private sector, where I ended up working for a man who was an academically credentialed scientist who was actually employed as an engineer—an intersting dichotomy in itself.

One day we got on the “creationism” topic and he began to explain the Big Bang theory to me—and I just assumed that anyone who could so completely describe something in such detail must be a devotee of it. So, I basically ended up asking him, “But what came BEFORE the big bang—?”

And he said to me, “Well, that question is why I go to church every Sunday.”

Fast forward to 2008.Obama regime changes all.U.S. Law is now a free for all. He who can claim the most regulations, not have them challenged and get people to believe them is now king and only his law shall be obeyed.

OK, changing the subject to Women in Combat, one of the “selected” themes for the driveby’s today...

When I started my military career, women were just being integrated into the military services. We had the WAF (Woman’s Air Force) but that went away in 1976.

So I started out as a computer operator. That was my AFSC. There was a requirement that you had to be able ot lift 50 pounds over your head. Well many of the women could not. So what did they do? Change their AFSC?

No. They simply waved the requirement...

When it came time to unload the truck that had all the boxes of paper and punch cards in it? Only us dudes did such work.

Now, that was a very civilian like job in the Air Force, and it wasn’t like you were pulling your shot buddy out of the line of fire in battle. But believe me, reality is far from what they like to believe in Washington DC and New York, New York! In the real world, stuff like this happens all the time.

LOL.

That is what I have wondered ever since I first heard of the 'big bang'. It had to be a humongously large planet; if it were a sun, everything would have been burned up. But, if it were a planet, what provided the light, heat, etc.?

Also, why are all the planets, moons and stars spherical? Asteroids and commets aren't.

This is a funny blast-from-the-past:
Sen. Obama, who has taught courses in constitutional law at the University of Chicago, has regularly referred to himself as “a constitutional law professor,” most famously at a March 30, 2007, fundraiser when he said, “I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution.”

FactCheck.org: Obama a Constitutional Law Professor?

It’s just an amazing lie, isn’t it.

While it is true that there are many who practice constitutional law from the political Left, Obama didn’t even do this.

I’m sure he has no idea what such a practice requires, or entails, the cases that such lawyers take, etc. He wouldn’t be able to cite the most meaningful precedents, know which courts to file cases in, find the best subject-matter experts for support or testimony, how or where to solicit amicus briefs, none of it.

And I would note that even the wildest-eyed constituional lawyer I ever came across, who won a case whose outcome is DESPICABLE to all of us here, also litigated in DEFENSE of the second amendment, Bernard Goetz, the right to defend onesself with a gun—because a constitutional lawyer goes into court and argues ultimately on behalf of CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

And if he doesn’t do THAT, well, he’s some other kind of lawyer.

Oh never fear Stuffy Stephy will grill Mentalendez about using under aged pros in the DR,you can just bet that will be all they will chat about....uhhh... maybe.....
Evidently if you are a Democrat using a prostitute is a plus—it helps the economy, as long as they are over 18. Using an underage pro is a small mistake. It’s usually swept well under the carpet.

if Mentalendez did do the crime, expect pedophilia to be pushed as a lifestyle choice. Wish I was kidding.

Imagine just a minuute if Menendez was a Republican...

Stop laughing! Remember what happened to senator David Vitter? The DC Madam scandal? The press was over him like white on rice.

Menendez? Eh, not so much.

To see the real bias in action, check out Wikipedia for both Menendez and Vitter.

A great book to read on all this, if you haven’t already, is What’s So Great About Christianity by Dinesh D’Souza (I’m gonna spell it right this time or at least closer to right).

It says way more about all this than I ever could and far more coherently.

And, on that note, incredibly, it’s time for me to go to church!

You do realize you are the exception to the rule. Most of your academics are atheists by a large margin. I would like to ask you the same question though. Where are the missing links between ape and man?

Pray for America

Awwwhhhh come on Bob.Stop complainin'.

All hillary was supposed to do was repeat the administration's talking point of:

we don't want this thing,Benghazi, to ever f...ing happen again, really! UNsaid was that Hillary really wasn't going to answer any questions. She took full responsibility and then blamed everyone under the sun in true Clintonesque triangulation format. She said she couldn't really read all 1.43 million cables even though Rand Paul said he would have fired her sorry ass,and it just plain wasn't her fault.

She didn't answer just a few annoying questions:

Why didn't they give Stevens more security, why didn't they rescue the four men,Stevens, Woods, Doherty and Smith who died at Benghzi after 7 hours, why was Stevens funneling arms all over the Mideast and a few other annoying far right wing questions but what do you expect?

At this point does it really matter how they died!!!

Morning folks,

Snapped the Magnavox floor-console on just in time to see Paul Ryan eating Gregory’s breakfast...repeatedly.

Gregory tried several gotchas....big mistake to debate Ryan. It was very rapid fire and he was allowed to talk.

Ya oughta catch it, if comes on later in your market.

So a few women who yearn for promotion to general are happy that their request to integrate the really tough fighting will reduce the effectiveness of the entire “front-line” fighting force.

To say that won’t happen is to engage in magical thinking - hardly an attribute that one should have when one becomes a wearer of general’s stars.

Arizona. She ran for Gabby Giffords seat this last election and narrowly lost to Giffords aide and temporary successor Ron Barber. Hopefully she'll run again in 2014.
