I began listening to Chuck Cecil’s “The Swinging’ Years” in 1968, when I heard it in a barber shop as I was getting my hair cut. In those days, it aired on Saturday mornings on KFI, now Rush Limbaugh’s Southland home. Later, they moved it to an evening slot, where it was often pre-empted by baseball, since KFI in those days was the Los Angeles Dodgers’ radio home.
