A working group of senators from both parties is nearing agreement on broad principles for overhauling the nation’s immigration laws, representing the most substantive bipartisan effort toward major legislation in years.

The three Democrats and three Republicans, who have been meeting quietly in recent months, plan to announce a final agreement as early as next Friday.

Why? Do they want to be the permanent minority in Congress?

This is them the last time they "reached agreement" on immigration "reform."

If these guffawing goofballs behave this way again I certainly will oppose their efforts even if it is something I support (not likely to be that something of course).

And just who are the three Republicans readying the latest surrender by the GOP. You’ll be shocked /sarc to learn that the three are:

Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), John McCain (Ariz.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.).

Anyone want to bet on whether the proposal will contain language about sealing the border?

No, the one-party system wants to keep WE THE PEOPLE in the minority by flooding the country with illegals who are as hostile to American rule of law as they are.

“John McCain (Ariz.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.)”

Zero sympathy. How many voted for dufus #1 in 2008 and how many will vote for dufus #2 in 2016? We know damn well the answer to that question, hence why they feel no qualms about proposing this type of legislation.

It should not be hard to put together legislation that says: seal border, deport illegals.

I would say, “and it begins”, but the nitwit GOP elite have been selling us down that river for awhile now. It’s only going to get worse. All they do is pay lip service to conservatism. Can’t wait til they push Christie on us in 2016 as a “real conservative” *eye roll*

Most of the Senators involved in this are the usual suspects:

Durbin
Schumer
Menendez
Bennet

Graham, L.
McCain
Rubio
Flake

Shouldn’t the title be “GOP near capitulation on immigration?”

Not surprised at all.

McCain was a sure bet as was Graham , and Rubio being a Cuban would naturally go for it.

Some want him for President. I am not one of them.

I would rather have a Prsident who wants to help Americans without a bias toward Hispanics. We have already seen what a President with a bias towards blacks get us.

What happens if they pass immigration reform , say everybody gets what they want. What happens when more illegals start showing up ? They do not want to deport the ones here now. Will all the new illegals be allowed to stay until their numbers are so great, they call again for another immigration reform ? immigration reform is pointless when the gov refuses to enforce the current immigration laws like how they are suppose to be enforced.

Agreed. Without punishment for breaking the law, there is no incentive to follow it.

They near completion upon a proposal to carry out what Obama and the leftist scourge already carry out by subverting the law.

Not only is this proposal in effect amnesty for the illegal aliens but as well for the leftist law breakers that seek the destruction America

I vote no pardon! Let us see a proposal for law enforcement instead!

“Republicans Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.), John McCain (Ariz.) and Marco Rubio (Fla.).”

Even before opening the link to see the article, I figured these were the three traitors with an R after their names.

Please, South Carolina, don’t put Grahamnesty back in in 2014 like Arizona did with McCainiac in 2010.

And if Rubio has ambitions for higher office, he better start reading the Tea leaves. If he wants to prove his bona fides, let him get the administration to enforce the laws we now have on the books and get all illegals off benefit programs before we even begin to discuss liberalizing our immigration laws further.

The Treason Lobby is bipartisan. How special.

Any bets on how many voters leave the GOP for good if this abomination passes?

I find it difficult to believe that whatever comes out of the Senate that contains even the slightest hint of amnesty (and no mention of border security) will pass thru the House. I find it difficult to believe that Republicans believe this will win them hispanic votes. Perhaps they believe it is worth risking a backlash in 2014 from the base.

Then again, there is a reason why the GOP is called the “stupid party”.

It really won’t matter though in the end. I predict in a few years there will be a complete collapse of the American economy to such an extent that it will make the Great Depression seem like a booming paradise. When that happens, I guarantee that you will see a mass exodus of millions back to Mexico.
