Excellent letter!
Just to take a somewhat different tact: There were always despots in waiting, fundamentally dishonest, there are now, and there always will be. The difference between now and 232 years ago is that today we have millions upon millions of voters, useful idiots if you will, willing to put these despots in office. Useful idiots that are “low-information” as Rush puts it, “drones” as Levin puts it, that have no concept what individual freedom is, what individual liberty is, what inalienable means, and what the Constitution is really (in the 5000-year-leap sense, in the federalist paper sense) is.
That difference was created by squishy-brained leftist "educators" indoctrinating America's children in government schools. We will have no hope of repairing our heritage until that system is replaced with a better one. Drones are not fit for self-government and having a majority composed of them will inevitably result in a dictatorship.
