British MP: Jews Didn't Learn the Lesson from the Holocaust

A Liberal Democrat MP in Britain faces expulsion from the party for saying Jews had not learned from the murder of six million in the Holocaust in their treatment of Palestinian Authority Arabs, the Daily Mail reports.

David Ward, MP for Bradford East, wrote on his own website that he was “saddened” that Jews “could within a few years of liberation from the death camps be inflicting atrocities on Palestinians…on a daily basis.”

“Having visited Auschwitz twice – once with my family and once with local schools – I am saddened that the Jews, who suffered unbelievable levels of persecution during the Holocaust, could within a few years of liberation from the death camps be inflicting atrocities on Palestinians in the new State of Israel and continue to do so on a daily basis in the West Bank and Gaza,” Ward wrote.

He later defended his comments in interviews, saying they were a “just a statement of fact”, and adding that “it appears that the suffering by the Jews has not transformed their views on how others should be treated.”

Dear David Ward: the Jews learned quite well those lessons of the Holocaust.

One of those lesseons is why Israel exists. Another is why they are armed. A third is that they primarily keep their own council.

Israel is the ONLY nation in the Middle East where Arabs democratically vote and are part of a government. No where else in that reagion is that allowed.

I think that Jews learned (well,most of them did at least) that when an individual,group,political party (or religious "faith") specifically states,both verbally and in writing,that that he/she/they intend to wipe out the Jews there's a distinct possibility that 1) they mean it and 2) they have the ability to achieve their goal.

Israel WILL defend itself, no matter how many stupid statements are made by outsiders

(it is true that the Jews did not seem to learn this lesson from the mass murder at the tower of York in 1190, nor from the English expulsion in 1290. I suggest you look at the history of Jews in Europe. They were prevented in many places from owning land or from participating in most professions. They thus tended towards political thinking that most of us would consider radical and socialism is very popular among many Jews.

I just learned recently that one of Boston's major hospitals (Boston has a number of famous hospitals) was founded by Jewish doctors because the other hospitals of the city wouldn't accept them.
