Feinstein: We cannot allow the rights of a few to override safety of all...
The Congressional Record ^ | February 24, 2013 | Dianne Feinstein (Traitor-CA)

Posted on 01/25/2013 10:49:32 AM PST by kiryandil

By Mrs. FEINSTEIN (for herself, Mr. SCHUMER, Mr. DURBIN, Mr. WHITEHOUSE, Mr. BLUMENTHAL, Mr. LEVIN, Mr. ROCKEFELLER, Ms. MIKULSKI, Mrs. BOXER, Mr. REED, Mr. LAUTENBERG, Mr. MENENDEZ, Mr. CARDIN, Mrs. GILLIBRAND, Mr. SCHATZ, Mr. MURPHY, Ms. WARREN, and Mr. CARPER):

   S. 150. A bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes; to the Committee on the Judiciary.

Mrs. FEINSTEIN. Mr. President, I rise today to introduce the Assault Weapons Ban of 2013. This legislation is urgently needed to help end the mass shootings that have devastated countless families and that lead too many Americans to live their lives in fear.

**snip** It will be an uphill battle--all the way. I know this.

But we need to ask ourselves:

Do we let the gun industry take over and dictate policy to this country? Do we let those who profit from increasing sales of these military style-weapons prevent us from taking commonsense steps to stop the carnage?

Or should we empower our elected representatives to vote their conscience based on their experience, based on their sense of right and wrong and based on their need to protect their schools, their malls, their workplaces and their businesses?

This legislation is my life's goal. As long as I am a member of the Senate, I will work night and day to pass this bill into law. No matter how long it takes, I will fight until assault weapons are taken off our streets.

Put simply, we cannot allow the rights of a few to override the safety of all. That is not the America that our founding fathers envisioned. And that is not the America I want my children and grandchildren to live in.

So I ask everyone watching at home: please get involved and stay involved.

The success or failure of this bill depends not on me, but on you. If the American people rise up and demand action from their elected officials, we will be victorious. If the American people say ``no'' to military-style assault weapons, we will rid our Nation of this scourge.

Please, talk to your senator and your member of Congress.

Exactly. Which is why our Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment.

“Put simply, we cannot allow the rights of a few to override the safety of all.”

Does this apply to allowing the mentally deranged to remain uninstitutionalized?

During the French Revolution, they opened the Bastille and the radical scum poured out, anarchist Blanqui white as a ghost from years of imprisonment, took over the podium of the legislature and was ranting his demands.

That is what we are seeing now. The leftists have been loosed into the mainstream, where they will reek destruction on society.

So if I read this correctly, Feinstein proposes to infringe on the rights of some of our citizens.....

I haven’t read the latest copy of the constitution but apparently there is a Bill of Rights of Some People.

If she cared as much about little black kids as she ostensibly does about little white kids, we’d have to have the uncomfortable talk about no-fault divorce, the destruction of the nuclear family, the coarsening of our culture, the loss of personal responsibility, etc.

So if I read this correctly, Feinstein proposes to infringe on the rights of some of our citizens.

18 USC § 241 - Conspiracy against rights

If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.

The date you attribute to the Congressional Record should be January instead of February.

That said, Feinstien will get a right full ear full from the “few” that she so underestimates. The rights are for all, even those that choose not to use it and even call for its abandonment.

Do not forget, the DiFi bill is a false flag to provide cover fire for a "compromise" "assault weapons" ban.

Since when is a Constitutional right the right of a few? I have an excellent idea using DiFi’s logic, we need to limit the speech right of a FEW of our elected officials because they are detrimental to the safety of the many! Why do politicians need to use so many words, they should be able to convey their idea with no more than five or six at a time! No politician needs a vocabulary that large to express themselves, if the Founding Fathers knew what was going on today they never would have written the First Amendment the way they did, unlimited speech is just not necessary today.

Imagine you were trying to abolish slavery and someone said this right out loud.

We’ll remember that when ONE complaint from a sore-head atheist can take down a veterans’ monument that has stood since WW II because it incorporates a cross. From now on, one complaint from the whiney ACLU should be dismissed out of hand.

“Put simply, we cannot allow the rights of a few to override the safety of all.”

So, if we roundup all of the dems and RINO politicians in the morning and hang them before lunch, it would be just fine. Heck, I know that I would feel much safer. Let’s schedule this for next Monday and make a 3 day weekend out of it.

Thank you, Feinstain..... I am getting excited.

The Constitution was here before you came into office Mrs. Feinstein. It will be here when you retire and you take the $$$ you disgracefully earned while in office and leave town ending your 15 minutes of fame. When you leave, please take Pelosi and Boxer with you. Maybe you girls can start a bridge club and stop meddling with things you don’t understand.

It's disgusting that these elected twits are arrogant enough to give us peons 'permission' to do things.

BTW - they excluded themselves from obeying this law they want to pass for the rest of us.

I think di Fi might have a point.

We should preemtively round up the ghetto blacks and put them in prison. We are violation only the rights of a few for the safety of all.

And actually, this was the point of the movie “Minority Report” where they preemtively arrested people based on the judgement of a group of “see-ers” who could predict the future. The dirty secret was that among that group was often “a minority report” that said a given suspect would not commit the crime, but the majority report was used for preemptive arrest and conviction.

A radio station in the ski resorts said today that “weapons already in homes will be exempt” without saying anything about registration. Little reminder of who the anti-Second-Amendment folks are (see “upscale”) and how they play in politics (like the Mafia, of course).

Treasonous witch. The same goes for her treasonous cabal. They took an oath to the Constitution of the United States - not to their own twisted preferences. They have chosen to not only break their oath but openly oppose the plain words and meaning of it.

These traitors need to be removed. They are enemies of our Constitutional Republic. They no longer have any legitimacy to their elected offices.
