And The Reason For Today's Five Years Initial Claims Low Is...

... is not the economy, which as we pointed out earlier just crossed into "worst recovery ever" territory, or even actual layoff events. The reason is, as always when there is a massive "beat" in any US economic data, the same tried and true estimation magic out of the BLS appearing so conveniently at appropriate times, which estimated the claims numbers of 3 states, among which those of the most populous: California.

Cooking the books and serving it with the BLS’s secret sauce: dropping the number of people in the workforce. If the same methodology was used as they did during the Bush administration, the unemployment rate woiuld be around 14%. The rate for Black youth is close to 50%, so they are sitting on the Democrat plantation waiting for their payments for voting for Obama.

Things are getting better according to the government’s rules because it has become patently obvious, even to the most uneducated of our population, that not working is preferred over the nasty, tedious task of having to find a job.

After all, Obama has done away with those pesky requirements for ‘looking for work’ under the TANF program (temporary assistance to needy families)....under his new guidelines, babysitting or looking at a newspaper counts.

Getting SNAP (supplemental nutrition assistance program) is easy as pie! If you are already on TANF, WICs, Section 8, you can get it....get it good!

It goes on. And it goes on and on and on and on. Why in the hell would anyone who can get TANF, SNAP, Section 8, WICs, an ObamaPhone, heat and electricity assistance, get extra groceries once a week from those stupid Christians down at the local food bank, get that $5000 EITC check each year, get those Pell Grants, those ‘retraining grants’, those small business grants (that never materialize into actual workers), actually ever go out and look for a job that requires them to pay federal, state and local taxes and also requires them to contribute something for SSA and Medicare.....somebody just tell me why in the hell they would do that?

I didn’t even mention SSI or SSDI, but that’s another ballgame for those leeches that didn’t piss away all their EBT money on 40s and Lottos and paid a Daytime TV lawyer to rush through a fake SSDI claim for them.

I would love to see a chart of total USA W-2 income over the last 2 decades.

They have played with the jobs numbers so much they are meaningless.

If we could see how many dollars are being earned each month that would be a better indicator of economic activity as it would expose the downward pressure on wages for those who can actually find a job, full or part time.

Even if the government numbers of actual hires were accurate, which they cannot be, I’d be willing to bet the total dollars/population earned in wages, is on the decline and that is one more reason they are trying squeeze more out of the rich.

I guess their latest tax the rich, did not reach the “FAIR” threshold of the community organizer.

Mr NEMDF lost his job the week before last, first claimed last week. I suppose with such low figures for new claims, he’ll find a new job just about instantly!

Wife and I exhausted unemployment benefits and were taken off the rolls. A friend’s wife is unable to find work and has filed for Social Security disability. Yeah, we’re making real progress......NOT!
