GEICO: Gun Manufacturer Auto Policy Cancelled...

GEICO Insurance Cultural Marxist Hypocrisy – Gun Manufacturer Auto Policy Cancelled Because He Is In Firearm Business….

Because he makes gun parts for a living this policy holder received a letter from GEICO cancelling his auto insurance. The letter says his auto insurance is being cancelled because he owns a company that manufactures parts for firearms:

(fyi, to insure the authenticity I have submitted a copy along with a request for verification to GEICO via email – we’ll see their response)

“The reason for cancellation is your vehicle [...] does not meet our underwriting guidelines because it is used in conjunction with a company that deals in the weapons industry

Get that?

OK, well, take a look at this:

Why does his car insurance company know what his business is?

About the only business that might know of my interests, is VISA.
If they want to drop me, they’re easily replaced.

Here’s Geico’s explanation:

“We spoke with the policyholder in December and there was some misunderstanding/confusion on our part on how he used the vehicle. We have reached out to the policyholder and hope that we can clarify usage of the vehicle and continue his policy.”

This appears to have been a Commercial policy, not this guy’s personal auto insurance policy. Many insurers have limitations on the types of industries they will insure, for liability reasons, not political ones. Firearms and ammunition tend to get lumped together for underwriting purposes, and some insurers won’t insure companies that transport either, again for liability reasons.

From what I’ve read, GEICO’s commercial auto division is largely focused on non-industrial businesses. It may just be that this type of business is outside of their desired risk profile.

While this certainly looks like, and very well could be, an overt expression of anti-gun sentiment on the part of GEICO, I'm also aware that it's not uncommon for people to purchase a personal automobile policy for a vehicle they use for business usage. When the carriers cancel the policy, usually pursuant to a claim, the letters (at least for some of my clients) usually state something to the effect that, "...because your vehicle is used in conjunction with a business in the _______ industry..."

I don't know if that's the case here, but if he had a personal auto policy on a vehicle he was using primarily for business, his policy would have been cancelled regardless of the industry.

I'm not saying that's what happened here, but I don't think that possibility can be ruled out quite yet...

What will it be next - you own guns and they will not insure you?

Unless you live in Massachusetts. Some Dem puke representative has introduced legislation to force gun owners to carry liability insurance, up to $100,000 for each firearm, only for cases of injuries resulting from AD.
Not for cases involving purposeful use of said firearm. I will not comply if this becomes law...before I move out of this state.

“If existing banks and insurance providers won’t cater to the firearms industry, why not start one that does?”

Unless you have deeep deeeeeeep pockets both are out of the question.

“Why does his car insurance company know what his business is?”

Because it’s a commercial insurance policy.

Saved a bunch of money today moving my policies to Erie Insurance. Check it out if you need to change. GEICO has made their decision. They saved me a LOT today.

“..... GEICO - Government Employee Insurance Co.....”

Hmmmm.

Maybe I should write em a letter and say,
“are you going to drop my coverage because my car is used in conjunction with weapons manufacturing..... military weapons manufacturing to be exact. I work for Lockheed and use it to drive to work every day”

a company that deals in the weapons industry

Cars can also be used as a weapon. Does that mean they will also cancel on people who work in or with the auto industry?

I NEVER trusted them, given their ads and how they are similar to Progressive (a known left-wing front group).

I guess my instincts were right. They can take a hike. I make enough to afford insurance from companies that aren’t political front groups.

His name is Warren Buffett. Lives in the Midwest. Perhaps ole Warren needs to see a few protesters every day asking one of the richest men in the world is tearing down the very system he made his fortune in.

“There ought to be a website that lists all these AntiAmerican Companies/businesses and public officials at Any level. It’s high time to shine light on all the Fascist/marxist/commie enemies to a Free people!”

Sounds like a FReeper needs to put together a fact-check, data-gathering ping list so we can start wholesale boycotting of companies proven to be doing this kind of garbage. Money talks. In today’s social media atmosphere, small insignificant boycotts could turn into an onslaught of Chick-Fil-A Day movements. Look at that gun show in Harrisburg.

I think I’ll call Geico tomorrow and make them explain how this is not true. :)

So STUPID, a Caveman could do it.

Swimming Pools kill more kids than Guns, and Swimming Pools are not even used as Weapons by the Criminal Element, I.E. by one of Obama’s imaginary Sons.

My GEICO policy renews in Feb. Gives me just enough time to find someone else. GEICO will hear why.
