Romney, as Republican victor in the primaries, had the opportunity to reach out to the conservatives and bring them into his campaign. Instead, he made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t interested in having them campaign for him.
Big mistake! The conservatives, particularly those with a morally conservaitve agenda, are the footsoldiers who go out into neighborhoods and bring in the votes. Not this time.
Romney shouldn’t have been politically stupid, but there you have it. He should have reached out to his competitors and ASKED for their support, and included Sarah Palin in that as well. It wouldn’t have cost him anything to do that, and because he didn’t, it cost him in the end and he lost the election.
How ridiculous... How did he make it clear he wasn’t interested? Because he didn’t send everyone flowers and a card? If so-called conservatives sat on their fat asses and helped this socialist get elected again, then f’m. They deserve to suffer for what they’ve done. I voted for Romney because I knew he was infinitely better than Obama. Not because anyone ASKED for anything. It should have been obvious as all hell.
He should have reached out to his competitors and ASKED for their support, and included Sarah Palin in that as well.
The only one that lost the election was Romney and Romney only. Many conservatives felt that the election was lost once Romney became the nominee because he is a milquetoast liberal Republican. Yeah, the other candidates may have well lost too but it was pretty certain that we were doomed once the media anointed candidate to take on Obama was chosen
