In any event, Paris lacks the airlift capacity to haul all the hardware bound for Africa. “At the strategic airlift level, the capability gap has been since long considered as problematic,” Henrotin says. Early on, Paris appealed for help from allied nations. Canada and the U.K. were the first to offer up C-17 transport planes — one and two, respectively; the U.S. sent five of its own C-17s over the weekend. The four-engine C-17 is big enough to carry a Caesar and any other French vehicle.

What a joke.

I guess this is France’s chance to demonstrate its weaponry to future buyers.

Here is the real question - will the French and the Malian gov’ts have the guts to level mosques and suppress Islam in the recaptured territory?

If not, why bother?

Let’s see.The French move into an exotic land. We lend some support. The French get their ass kicked. We move in to take their place and we end up with............Vietnam.

It should not be forgotten that after WW II, France fought two bloody and losing colonial wars — Indochina (Viet Nam) and Algeria — then expended vast sums building a nuclear deterrent and substantial conventional forces.

Indeed it still does, and it is beginning to awaken from its almost century-long slumber in the form of Generation Identitaire. A brutal backlash will begin in France, and the French Army won't need any borrowed C-17s to reach the Muslim invaders who now ring its major cities. When it happens, the Mohammedans will have nowhere to hide. Mali is practice.

Napoleon was Empereur of the French, but he was Corsican, which is to say Italian.
