President Barack Obama's second inaugural address has been described as one of the most partisan ever given, heralding a sweeping left-wing agenda and demonizing his opponents. But President Obama's target is not simply the Republican Party: it is the Constitution itself, and the values of liberty that it enshrines.
In the address itself, President Obama made the case that liberty is not timeless; that it must adjust to the times, and that "preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action"--not to defend those freedoms from infringement, but to give them "meaning" through government regulation and redistribution.
White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer put the point more bluntly in remarks published earlier today:
“There’s a moment of opportunity now that’s important,” Pfeiffer said. “What’s frustrating is that we don’t have a political system or an opposition party worthy of the opportunity.”
Note the contempt in Pfeiffer's words--not just for the political opposition, but for the political system itself--a system designed by the Framers to include checks and balances to hold government power firmly in check...

When I hear a leader, or his minion, say (if effect), "the people I lead are not worthy enough", then I know I'm dealing with fascism.

Those types of rumors have been afloat since Nixon was president. But I do think this yahoo in the WH is more motivated to acheive that end. And who knows...with the results of this past election...it might be doable for those who want a king.

Ive known for a long time what Obama’s TRUE agenda is..to destroy the United States of America..I am surprised it’s taken so long for some people to see the truth about this guy..but people just don’t care..as long as they get their freebies they don’t give a crap..they are soon to learn a very valuable lesson..when you get freebies there is a cost, and its your freedom..something that all the freebies in the world can’t buy

The Republicans are well taken care of.. why should they go to bat for us. They are so entrenched in Washington that they are confused and think we all want this.
The left so hated Bush and the Conservatives that they are gleefully happy they have their socialist in the high office. They believe it will be a better life for them.. as short sighted as they are and as dumb as they are... they can’t see anything but “the conservatives have been defeated”. They will give up their freedom and never know what hit them in the glare of their idolatory for this dictator. And when it all turns into destruction, they will still be praising their leader, because he defeated Conservatism. Blind as can be and dumb as a rock and the Republicans could care less about the people out here. We aren’t at their doorstep.... we aren’t marching on Washington,... we aren’t pitching a hissy fit on TV... so we must be ok with this.
The anger out here over what is happening, has bypassed them completely. We are way too polite and way to tolerant for the likes of what has taken over our country. They will do us all in if we let them, and we aren’t the kind who fight ugly like the left. Maybe we should though. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I get angrier every day. I’ve turned off the TV completly... for they do not see this sob in the White House like I do. Blind, and willing to stay blind.
I just look at this and wonder... obama is an illegitimate President... he’s a socialist and worse... he’s taking our country to ruin... I can hardly believe it is happening.. like a real bad dream... how could it happen in this beloved country? The left are jubilant... we are stunned...angry and in disbelief. We could overturn this... but we are one here and one there...50 here and 50 there... no leader who is willing to fight... no one who will fight... so here we sit .. and talk it to death.

What is so galling is that we know that the media have been openly leftist and siding with communism in the past. But something even more dreadful is on the horizon, and they are willfully blind to it. People with common sense know what is coming. The media have no such common sense though.

Did you note the difference in the oath of office for Vice President and for President today.
I am sure that the prescribed oath was administered, but the one that Biden took is much more involved.

I didn’t listen to the speech, and haven’t seen a transcript, but I’m glad he put it out there for all the world to see. Now if he complains that the Republicans don’t want to work with him, everyone will know it is not they, but HE, who is the recalcitrant one.
There is no doubt in my mind that most of the media would openly support or wouldn’t report the execution of anyone they consider conservative.

Agree. In pickpocketspeak, we don't see the "cannon", the guy who runs the "wire mob" (gang -- precursor of "flash mob"). He's the brains, the talent.
The other members of the team are the "shade" who blocks the mark's view of the action, the "stall" who stands the mark up for the dip, and the guy (I forget his designation) who takes the handoff from the cannon and disposes of the stolen object. There is also a guy called the "steer" who calls the play, identifies where the mark is carrying his money, and passes other info in sign language.
Obama isn't the "steer" or the "cannon" -- he's just the "stall", the guy who gets in our face and absorbs our attention while the real damage is being done elsewhere. We need to find out who the "cannon" of this wrecking-crew is: That person is our real problem. Right now I suspect it's Valerie Jarrett, but she may only be the "steer" directing Obama. The real leader may be Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or even George Soros or Vernon Jordan (who first walked Obama around Clintonista dinner parties in 2002-3). Whoever he is, he's hiding in the shadows.
The Russian political term for a crew like this is "politburo". Obama's got a politburo in a closet somewhere.
