East Windsor gun store under fire after man caught stealing rifle
EAST WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - A gun store in East Windsor where at least one of the weapons used in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was sold was raided Thursday night.
Adam Lanza had two pistols and the AR-15 when he entered Sandy Hook Elementary School Friday morning, and in just a matter of minutes, he fired multiple rounds, killing 20 children and six adults. Before the school shooting, he shot his mother four times.
Riverview Gun Sales is the same store where police believe a different man stole an assault weapon and was trying to carry out a similar attack.
In a video obtained by Eyewitness News, Jordan Marsh, 26, of South Windsor, can be seen stealing an AR-15 with a scope just four days earlier.

The video on the right above the story is 3:06 minutes long and is the one that shows the man stealing the gun. The news calls it an AR 15, but is it an AR-15 air rifle? 1:06 and 1:51 on this video shows the man walking out with the red capped rifle.

Is that an AR 15 air rifle? If you look it has a red cap on the gun. You can see the red cap in both views.
I was told that the red cap usually signifies an air rifle. An air rifle would make more sense why they had them out where any one could grab it and walk out of the store.
Every gun store owner, gun manufacturer, and gun enthusiast needs to come to states where you’re welcome. The states are a force to be reckoned with and will be stronger if conservative, freedom loving patriots consolidated.
Red cap signifies cap gun and airsoft guns.
Airsoft guns fire plastic pellets.
Stings, can put out an eye, that’s about it.
What’s with the orange tip on the end of the barrel?
I’m saving up about 6 months of money to make that move.
I would pump gas if I had to. I’m out of the NE but I faced myself with a 2 hour (each way) commute to do so.

I’ve never heard of a gun retailer with this rate of firearm theft.

It looks like most of the guns were stolen by this one individual too.
“Police said Riverview Gun Sales had no idea the AR-15 Marsh stole was missing. Management at the store didn’t know about 11 guns that Marsh had allegedly stolen last year until they were notified by detectives.”
Many gun stores, big chains and the little ones, have used long guns on customer accessible racks. New and the more valuable long guns are usually on racks behind the counter. All keep handguns in locked cases.
I don’t know why this store in the article had so many missing firearms. A lifted handgun should be noticed at closing as most stores do a count of the handguns in the glass cases. Most stores keep a watch on the exit door so walking out with a long gun is usually spotted. All long guns on racks or in backroom boxes should be counted monthly.
The feds come down on you if you have too many missing without paperwork.

It was raided by the ATF, the same outfit who brought us “Fast and Furious.”
I was thinking more along the lines of informant, who did what he was requested.
No FFL dealer in his right mind would be that sloppy about inventory control.
