Searchlight —Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says he is hoping to build an immigration reform bill with bipartisan support but that some related issues are not up for debate in his view.Meeting Thursday morning at his Searchlight home, Reid outlined his top priorities for the U.S. Senate in 2013, including immigration reform, to reporters who cover the Southern Nevada Hispanic community.

“There will be nothing done in my Senate (on immigration reform) without a pathway to citizenship,” he said.

“People will have to move to the back of line. They would have to pay some penalties and fines, and they have to work, stay out of trouble and work on speaking English,” ..Seems I heard this same logic back in the 1986 amnesty.Reid, offering general principles for a pathway to citizenship for immigrants without legal residency. “That would bring people out of the shadows ..I am not sure what people Reid refers to as being in the shadows. I see illegals every where , across the country every day, flaunting our laws and tauting law enforcement. Staging protests at offices of ICE,wearing t-shirts undocumented-unafarid,no papers-no fear, give us drivers licenses, gives us free college educations, give us jobs, give us obamacare, never deport anybody illegal again, our families are being ripped apart, we are asked for an ID because we are brown, driving while brown,we pay our sales taxes just like anybody does, etc,etc,etc,etc,etc..

The film “Casino” (a true story) contains all the information one needs to figure out exactly what makes Dirty Harry tick.

“Reid’s Senate” can’t produce a simple annual budget, as required.

Is there no mechanism to rid our nation of Reid?
It is not “his” Senate.

The rot in our government is so deep and pervasive, nothing but it’s total destruction can cleanse it.

As long as it is a path to citizenship in NV, CA or NY or other blue state, I really don’t care because in the end they will go broke and all starve to death.

Whatever solution we choose, it must NOT include allowing anyone who came here illegally the right to vote.

There must be a cost to breaking our law, even if we let these people stay and there must be a penalty to the politicians who looked upon all these illegal aliens as future voters.

When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections .

#1 Mr. Reid “IT IS NOT YOUR SENATE!!!!!”

#2 You people already pulled this once. IT DID NOT WORK, BECAUSE YOU DID DID NOT ENFORCE YOUR PART OF THE DEAL.

Any deal on any type of amnesty will only be considered once true permanent action is taken to secure the borders. Something along the lines of the Korean DMZ nothing less will be considered. Also in order to even have the matter considered in the future the term “Undocumented” must be changed to reflect the true status of those illegally in this country, in all correspondence dealing with the matter.

I am betting that only a small number of illegals will want to become citizens.

Also, what happens when employers have to pay full wages for now non-citizens and they have to pay taxes and FICA and taxes are taken out of the workers pay instead of cash under the table.

Wonder if they will be in less demand. It may not be as great and wonderful as they think.

Reid says no immigration reform without citizenship??

Actually I like that, gives the GOP an easy out.
Send Reid bills without it and tell the ‘compassionate moderate voters’ that Reid killed sensible immigration reform.

I am against any bill that creates more legal moochers and esp voting moochers.

Sorry Dingy! I have no sympathy for those who cheat the system. I’m first generation, my parents had to wait for years in a bombed out Europe before they were allowed to emmigrate to the U.S. And I’m talking about my slaving as a maid for some food and place to sleep on the kitchen floor! My Mom and Dad got to America with seven dollars and change and had to sign a statement that they would take no government assistance for five years. They busted their asses bought and paid for three homes and never once took a penny from the government they did not pay in first! All these cheaters need to go home and enter legally if they want Citizenship, otherwise Green Card only and no voting rights EVER! I’m tired of cheaters coming out ahead of honest people who follow the rules. Dammit! We only have so many spots for Congressmen and Senators!

I’m in favor of giving illegals a path to citizenship.

1. Pay huge fine for trespassing.

2. Go back to country of origin.

3. Go to the back of the immigration line.

Of course, any ID fraud would automatically disqualify you to immigrate.

“MY SENATE” could this be any more of a wake up call. These are our overlords not elected officials. Time to warm up the tar and gather the feathers

Harry was misquoted. Actually what Harry said was "no sex without Viagra."

Harry's in a snit b/c he was disqualified from the Democrats' Inaugural Sexual Olympics.

In the festivities leading up to Obama's inaug, Sandra Flucke is holding a contest to determine "Which Democrat Can Last the Longest."

Harry's bummed b/c he was disqualified on a technicality----he doesn't take his glasses off when having sex---and needs mega-doses of Viagra to get the action going.

Harry sure changes his tune, depending on who is buttering his bread on any given day....

Harry Reid: illegal aliens “free loaders and scam artists”

OH! THE IRONY!

From John Lollipop..

“Reid, now an impassioned champion of amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens in America, once called illegal aliens “free loaders and scam artists” which he proposed to deal with in his Immigration Stabilization Act in the United States Senate in 1993.” That proposed legislation was introduced to the floor of the US Senate with the following press release, in part, issued by Reid’s office on August 5, 1993. “In response to increased terrorism and abuse of social programs by aliens, (I) today introduced the first and only comprehensive immigration reform bill in Congress. Currently, an alien living illegally in the United States often pays no taxes but receives unemployment, welfare, free medical care, and other federal benefits. Recent terrorist acts, including the World Trade Center bombing, have underscored the need to keep violent criminals out of the country.” [snip]
