I sent my new Representative an email this morning. Three do-or-die issues for me.

1) Amnesty - Hell NO, not even, not ever - no citizenship for criminals

2) Budget - No increase in debt ceiling, no deficit spending. Shut the government the hell down if it comes to it.

3) Guns — NO new laws - no magazine limits, AWBs or universal NICS.

I told him that he doesn’t get re-elected by the media, nor Obama, nor the Democrats. They won’t get him re-elected; I will if he doesn’t violate any of the three items above.

Next up:

—Harry Reid will accuse Republicans of playing politics with the budget.

—The press will issue a new poll showing low confidence in Congress

—Boehner will cave.

I.e, same song and dance.

Krauthammer is right on this one. (Wrong on the NRA add, I might mention.)

GOP is getting its ass kicked while Harry Reid does nothing. This is a great tactic to put the searchlight (no pun intended) on the Democrat Senate's refusal to act on anything.

We can't win with only the House. We can't win by shutting down the government. We can only win by changing public opinion. This is the first step.

“Fitch Ratings agency recently said, if the debt limit is raised without substantive deficit reduction, our nation’s credit rating could be downgraded”

For a 2nd time, IINM.

This is a start. The House HAS passed budgets, not one single one has come through the Senate...most are dead on arrival, according to Reid. And that is criminal dereliction of duty (as if there aren’t enough examples)

And I very much am in favor of no budget no pay. We’ll see.

Even when the pubbies think they’re playing hardball, they’re still a pack of wussies. Why not issuing a warrant for Harry Reid’s arrest? He runs the senate, senate is required by law to produce a budget. Can these clowns be any more pathetic? No wonder millions stayed home on Election Day.

As long as there is no new budget Federal spending is locked in at the last budget's baseline...meaning 2009 spending PLUS the 800 billion porkulus.
Until a new budget exceeds that level of spending Dingy and Obama will allow no new budget.

Cloward/Piven dontcha know.

GOP gets its ass kicked over and over because they continually get down on their hand and knees and shout “ THANK YOU SIR. MAY I HAVE ANOTHER!!”

Krauthammer makes a compelling case (to me) for this approach. I'm as sick as all of us with how this is all going - but we can't make things happen with only 1/2 of one leg of gov’t.

We need to make sense, minimize the pain, and win in the mid-terms in 2 years and Presidency in 4 years. We simply can't expect to stop gov’t spending with only the House, a very sympathetic press, greedy public full of takers and a President who only cares about winning the fight (no concern for consequences).

Read the article. Makes sense.

It's time to come together and get to work.

In other words, hand the check book to Oboma. We know how it all ends.

The democrats do the two step (I believe they learned it from Vladimir Lenin). They push their issues as far as they can push (2 steps "forward"), and then demand bipartisanship. The Republicans chat with them for awhile, and the democrats agree to take a step back. The Republicans accept their offer. That still leaves them one incremental step "forward" toward their communist utopia every time!
The stupid party(R) walks away wondering what just happened.
They democrats +1
Republicans -2 (because they let the left set the agenda in the first place. They shouldn't have even agreed to discuss their nonsence!)

Not good enough by a long shot!

1) The senate has to produce a budget. Not agree to produce one. They actually have to produce it and pass it before the House moves a single inch.

2) This budget must put in place emergency action to save our currency. This will include an entire overhaul of government spending. Agencies whose sole purpose is bureaucracy such as the GSA must be 100% defunded and decommissioned immediately, while non-essential agencies such as organizations in the Department Of Labor and the EPA must have budget cuts of around 50%. A board must be assigned to investigate spending in the military to avoid situations like buying tanks we don’t need while soldiers are forced to buy their own equipment. All subsidies to ‘research’ however small, must be cut. Planned Parenthood must be defunded. All representatives, senators, the president, his staff, must take pay cuts (well deserved by my judgement)

3) All welfare programs must undergo intense scrutiny with general unemployment benefits receiving cuts along with an overhaul of the food stamp system. Obamacare has to be dismantled due to its astronomical cost alone.

This is just for starters. This is the bare minimum needed to set us on the path to fiscal stability. ‘Seems partisan? ‘Seems like no leftard would ever agree to it? Maybe so, but this is what is needed. If Obama refuses to yield, then we will have a government shutdown. Not a shutdown that lasts a week until Republicans cave because people are unhappy. A shutdown with the ball in the White House’s court. Zero will have only two options. Either agree to the demands, come to the table with the intention of doing the right thing for the country (I won’t hold my breath), or usurp the constitution, strip congress of their rights, and become a dictator.

Are you listening, you spineless dishrags in the house? If there was ever a time to stop this arrogant, narcissistic, commie fraud, now is it.

2) Budget - No increase in debt ceiling, no deficit spending. Shut the government the hell down if it comes to it.

That's just not going to happen. It not only not going to happen, it's silly to think it's even in the realm of possibilities. Even Ron Paul's trillion dollar proposed budget cuts don't balance the budget in one year.

Even if the Tea Party ran the House, they WOULD raise the debt limit and they WOULD deficit spend. If they tried to do what you propose and shut the government down over it, the American people would run them out office and that would be the end of the Tea Party.

The other two things are already bedrock conservative positions which we all agree. No amnesty and no infringement of our 2nd amendment rights.

This is so stupid. Either they will continue to cave (more likely) or they will fight. If they choose to cave, do it, don’t try to string people along, because we aren’t buying it anymore. If you are going to fight, do it now. Might as well get it going.

Have these idiots ever work in the real world, or is their brained addled by long years in DC?
