Egyptian, per the video. They also claimed that one guy they beat was 20 guys who attacked them.
Thank God they were not using guns!
More like The Baseball Furies
“Behind enemy lines, we know to stay out of the urban welfare reservations.”
I got to admire your moxy, FRiend. Personally, I think you conservatives in NY are pushing your luck. Cuomo just declared that you are the enemy, he will disarm you and throw you to the wolves. I hope you have a battle plan to fight your out and escape.
I think your situation is more critical than you realize, but I don’t live there and you may have a better view than me.
Good luck, buddy.
How’s it feel to be homeless. Get off the color boat and grow up.
Of course it would have made the news: he'd have been arrested for violating New York or NYC's gun laws, portrayed in the same way George Zimmerman was in Florida, and held up as an example of why we need more anti-gun legislation.
As it is, note that this didn't make "the news": we're having to read about it via the British press, as is the case with every event that doesn't fit into the left's latest propaganda campaign. Assault with tire irons and baseball bats? Bury it. It doesn't support a gun ban, and might make folks want firearms with which to defend themselves.
Luckily the victim didn’t have a gun, or he would have learned what REAL PUNISHMENT is.
Thanks; I live in northern NJ (about 10 miles west of NYC), which isn’t far behind NY in decay but the voters reflected that in electing Christie to stem it. For the longest time good jobs made it worthwhile living here, but many of those are leaving.
Like upstate NY, NJ is still a majority “Anglo” state, with the welfare populations penned on their urban reservations and increasingly ringed by Hispanic enclaves (a sort of buffer). I wouldn’t have to pass through many Obama voters to reach upstate NY or eastern PA; we just had a dry run with Sandy-related power outages, and it was smooth. We have many rivers which serve as effective moats in channeling/restricting traffic.
I appreciate your concern; raising a family here, it is always in the back of my mind.
What I meant was the tourist with his firearm scare away the gang of seven, hence no incident, no news.
I doubt even with bystander cell phone, NYPD would be too busy to track down one no-incident.
“Ny Daily News reports the location as Macdougal Street,”
Maybe I misread the report. My alzheimers brain thought I read “east Village” or that it read Greenwich Village and somewhere else read “lower east side”.
That was probably my error, but it is how I came think it was the 14th street location and not the Macdougal Street one (they have a few more sites in town as well).
The Macdougal street location is a location that is both grimier than the 14th street location - less residential - and it is also probably busier at 5:AM on a Sunday morning.
