San Diego County law enforcement officials expressed strong support for President Barack Obama’s gun-control plans that he laid out in a speech Wednesday.

“I was pleasantly surprised when I heard him take a comprehensive approach,” said Carlsbad police Chief Gary Morrison. “I liked the way he talked about the medical community and the impact of video games on kids, and money to law enforcement and schools to craft emergency response plans.”

President Obama said he would sign 23 executive actions giving law enforcement, schools, and public health community some of the tools they need to reduce gun violence.

My husband (and best friend) says that ALL women should be armed.

Personally, I think he just wants to share the work load when the time comes.

Ignore any such rants or ravings from all political kiss up chiefs of police.

The rank and file streets cops throughout the U.S. are pro gun rights for citizens.

Any police chief that believes anything Obama proposed would stop a lunitic from shooting up a school is too stupid to be a police chief. He should run for congress.

...and money to law enforcement Those 5 words explain the chief's resounding support.

Now, the local Barney Fifes can get those M&P AR15s they've been wanting.

WITH the 30 round mags!...

Can't have that 5 pound yappin Yorkie get away with a single .40 to the head

Sheriffs are elected.

The NRA will make them road kill if they chose to enforce.

Sounds like El Jefe' wants to be voted off the island. Do it!

“Big city police chiefs maybe, (at least in blue states.)”

Thy are corporate police. They have to be good company men as they are not beholden to the people for their jobs.

“Many large donuts were handed out.”

But, no time to eat’em. Too busy responding to increase in shootings.

Every law enforcement officer who supports gun control should be forced to leave his weapon at the station when he goes home.

"“I liked the way he talked about the medical community..."

Not thinking it through. Medicine will become single-payer and all doctor's will work for the government. Then the the doctors will be get and incentive to declare everyone unqualified to have a weapon.

Obamacare being used for total control of the people. It's coming true.

All of these Chiefs are members of the IACP.

Landsdowne spoke at the 2012 IACP Conference. Janet Napolitano is on the board of the IACP.

These guys are nothing more than union politicians masquerading as cops. The IACP is anti-gun. Obama was once on the board of the Joyce Foundation which has ties to the IACP.

Notes from the meeting:

“Napolitano, one of several speakers to open the 119th IACP conference in San Diego, also announced a new training portal to help law local law enforcement counter violent extremism. The portal is available through the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN).”

Inner-city, politically-appointed, kiss-ass, desk-jockey PO-lice chiefs with egos as big as their bellies and man-breasts, and uniforms full of shiny, meaningless trinkets that dictators like Idi Amin would fawn over, ALL agree that gun control is super.

this is where obamanomics will trump liberty.

dealers do not like private sales so they want universal checks to outlaw private sales. $$$

police will need more government union workers to keep track of the data. $$$$

seiu will have more members. $$$
