Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security, released a statement Wednesday saying she is "proud to support" the Obama administration's efforts to "combat gun violence in our country." Here's more from Napolitano's statement:
In the aftermath of the tragic Newtown shooting, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), together with the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the FBI have worked to identify measures that could be taken to reduce the risk of mass casualty shootings. In the coming days, DHS will expand and formalize coordination of ongoing efforts intended to prevent future mass casualty shootings, improve preparedness, and to strengthen security and resilience in schools and other potential targets.

Tennessee is in the fight. Our state Rep just Proposed a TN bill on this issue.
Saying Americans should be able to “defend themselves from tyranny,” TN state Rep. Joe Carr said today he is proposing a bill that would allow federal agents to be arrested for enforcing new gun-control laws.
Carr, a Lascassas Republican, is sponsoring legislation that would charge federal agents with a Class A misdemeanor for enforcing or attempting to enforce a federal law or executive order that bans, restricts or requires registration of any semiautomatic gun, accessory or ammunition.

I'm gonna guess that DHS will be handing out those 1.4B rounds, recently purchased, to millions of patriot Americans for training purposes at brand new shooting ranges they're undoubtedly planning to build across the nation! Just imagine that, not only will this strengthen our ability to defend the homeland, but also put foreign powers, criminals, and illegals on notice, while employing thousands of American workers!

The NRA should be very clear that by embracing this gun control effort, with the next Republican congress and president, the DHS will be abolished.
The message is not to their political hack leaders, but to the bureaucrats of DHS. Do not do this, or you will lose your jobs. And there will be no other government jobs for you.

There are two Sandy Hook scenarios suggested there. False flag is one and another disastrous DHS program is the other. At this point it’s a coin toss.
Based on their history, I’m leaning towards ‘another disastrous DHS program’ explanation although I don’t understand the practicing to fail idea presented at beforeitsnews.
I do think it’s safe to say it’s not likely DHS will get the coordinating right, either.
Nor try to make it any less painful.
LOL, so the Dept of Mall Cops are going to ‘do’ guns and security. If their track record is any indication of success.... At ant rate, they should compare notes w/ the ATF before they perform any PR raids. That Waco place didn’t work out nearly as well as they thought it would. Holy Cow, just what we need, a bunch of ill trained border line criminals/incompetents running around w/ guns and badges pretending to be significant.

Janet Napolitano sits on the board of the IACP. International Association of Chiefs of Police. Her teaming up with local law enforcement is not a good thing, the feds having their hand in local law enforcement.
Too many police chiefs are bought and paid for union political appointees who are anti-gun and will go along with what the feds want.
This is something to keep an eye on. Obama was once on the board of the Joyce Foundation which also has ties to the IACP.
