WASHINGTON (AP) - Braced for a fight, President Barack Obama on Wednesday unveiled the most sweeping proposals for curbing gun violence in two decades, pressing a reluctant Congress to pass universal background checks and bans on military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines like the ones used in the Newtown, Conn., school shooting.
A month after that horrific massacre, Obama also used his presidential powers to enact 23 measures that don't require the backing of lawmakers. The president's executive actions include ordering federal agencies to make more data available for background checks, appointing a director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and directing the Centers for Disease Control to research gun violence.

Exactly. I thought he was going to use it mostly to crush any possibility of resistance in this country (because that’s what the Second Amendment is all about...it has nothing to do with hunting). But I see he’s just using it to collect funds.

“Prior to 1989, the term “assault weapon” did not exist in the lexicon of firearms. It is a political term, developed by anti-gun publicists to expand the category of “assault rifles”... ”

So where does the money come from? The USA is broke.
Interesting he went for $$$, and votes for the party. Has to mean he couldn’t do much, as well it’s all spelled out in ObamaCare anyway, and he probably would like to keep that quiet as long as he can until implemented fully.
I don’t think people realize enough how much we need to be rid of ObamaCare. I think that alone is the diversionary target. They are trying to keep the lid on the details until we are stuck with it.

I’m convinced this little down low fraud is out to destroy the country. I just re-read “Night” by Elie Wiesel....America is fat and lazy and spoiled (sad to say, but it is pretty true—of course not everybody)...our kids are being taught propaganda by Leftists and 1/2 the people are on the gvt teat....I’m afraid we are in for some very difficult times. Now is the time to just prepare to take care of you and your family....it at least gives you a measure of control. Sorry to be a downer...but, it’s not looking good. History repeats, and repeats, doesn’t it?
As the wonderful Mark Steyn says, America is the brokest, brokety-broke country the world has seen. His last book is amazing to read...he predicted a great deal of what is now taking place. I’m even beginning to think he is right about the states breaking up. Weird times we are living in.

Ya think. Bo is at war with America. This is the only way to take us down and he has an army of welfare maggots on his side.
All I can say, is remember who your enemies are? Who did more to put Bo in power than any single entity. It wasn’t just Soros but most importantly it was a corrupt old media empire.
