Problem is that many of the family practice physicians are foreign born and/or trained and have only been in the country a year or two (including my last three or so). They aren't involved yet in the American political scene, but I am going to assume most doctors from foreign countries are not pro gun rights. My experience with the foreign physicians has been positive in terms of medical proficiency, but I really have no choice but to see them as the old line American physicians are getting real scare or are in specialties only.
Seems to be standard procedure for shrinks. A brother-in-law got a degree in psychology, and he's nuts and flies off the handle for no good reason. He couldn't get a job in his field and is now a TSA agent; I hear from relatives he enjoys his job (I avoid him like I would a disease). Every psych major I knew was nuts.
Lol! Looks like the medication is working...
“The thing thats so crazy about shrinks, is that there is a high percentage of shrinks, that go to other shrinks for their own problems.”
And most of them took those psycho-babble courses in college to try figure out themselves and all of their hang-ups.
My Dad, a WWII vet, was asked if he had weapons in his home. He said he did. Then the doc asked if they were loaded. He replied “What good is an unloaded gun?” Wonder how many lists he got on that day? And this was a dr from the VA.

Will please let us know what Dr.O finds out.
Thank You dear lady.
Yep!
Don’t worry ... I have no talent.
Your comprehension has gone beyond the question asked. With your insight into this situation, money can be made.
Completely agree.
The problem is....even if you have a good doctor now (one that won’t ask)....the good doctors will probably all retire within the next year or so due to the ObamaCare fiasco/mess...and all we’ll be left with is crappy (foreign) doctors that will tow the leftist Marxist party line and snoop on us all and then report to King Barry. That is where all of this is heading. And quite deliberately so.
I established with a local clinic last summer, and on the form I filled out was a question asking whether I owned a gun. I debated whether to answer truthfully, lie, or refuse to answer. I decided to lie. It’s none of their business but no good can come from their knowing. Plus, I live in Arizona and there is no registration required here to get a gun, so it’ll be a lot harder for them to check it out.
My dad was retired Naval Air and due to a chemical imbalance, he was prone to panic attacks and anxiety attacks later in life. Under the new Obamalaws....he would have been deemed unfit to own even the 38 revolver he kept for home defense and protection.
This law is bullshit and a blatant attack on our constitutional rights....and if we don’t take a stand against this now, it will be far too late “later”.
Ohms -— excellent choice of symbols... even looks like the snake on the ground... Well done!
“What makes me curious is if these shrinks realize this is going to decimate their practices?”
out of work psychiatrists will be hired by the feds to analyze the populace they wish to deem unworthy... and they will do it willingly, because their word will carry the weight of authority.
I am concerned that by this method that the parameters or definitions of" too crazy to have a gun" will expand to include a broad range of bahaviors. Call me paranoid. Oh, wait, I did not say that. I take it back.
Yes, sweet Clyde5445.
Exactly!
GOOD to see you, dear friend!
