According to a background briefer provided by the White House, President Barack Obama is asking doctors to help deal with guns. Here's the relevant passage:
PRESERVE THE RIGHTS OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TO PROTECT THEIR PATIENTS AND COMMUNITIES FROM GUN VIOLENCE: We should never ask doctors and other health care providers to turn a blind eye to the risks posed by guns in the wrong hands.
Clarify that no federal law prevents health care providers from warning law enforcement authorities about threats of violence: Doctors and other mental health professionals play an important role in protecting the safety of their patients and the broader community by reporting direct and credible threats of violence to the authorities. But there is public confusion about whether federal law prohibits such reports about threats of violence. The Department of Health and Human Services is issuing a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits these reports in any way.

I was in the hospital last year for an infection. When I was being released they asked me if I felt safe going back to my home environment. I told them I felt safer at home than in their hospital where they tried to give me drugs meant for a different patient. I expect I am now on “the list”.
The appropriate thing to do is to refuse to answer, but you can always just say you don’t have any guns. That way they have asked you, you answered and there is nothing to report.
since doctors and the medical profession are screwed with obamacare, I think that there will be fewer to inclined to go along with these fascist mandates.

When will Americans stop someone who views our children as “collateral damage” in their quest for power?
My 15 year old daughter was hospitalized for a few days before Christmas due to complications from her bone marrow disorder. (She is back to being stable and the problem has been resolved, et least for now.) One of the questions of the admitting nurse was “is your home safe?” The nurse seemed uncomfortable having to ask the question and I thought it was an odd sounding question. I wonder if it pertained to this issue. We are in for tough times ahead - thanks Obama voters/s

The doctors in our family belong to the NRA. Perhaps the NRA could have its own listing of doctors who are amenable to patriots. I’d certainly rather give my money to those doctors, rather than State doctors.
Freedom-loving Americans should set up as many networks as possible to divorce themselves from Washington D. C. Pres. Washington warned early Americans about “foreign entanglements.” At the present, we should extricate ourselves from federal entanglements as much as possible.
Obama has converted the medical profession into a TSA in scrubs. Doctors should not be surprised when folks treat them with the same disdain as they have for the blue-shirted gov’t gropers and thieves.

He isn’t asking, he is telling doctors to do what he wants. They owe now or will regret not doing what he says... he pays them through obastardcare. He can cut them off or reward them now.
We don’t ask about guns and are not compelled to. That’s not going to change. No time to do that.
Getting crazy people off the street is beyond our capacity to do as well.
As if that is anything new. My doctor already thinks I'm crazy but he is crazier so THERE!
If we want to start the crazy list we can start with the little dictator who thinks he is somehow going to make people do as he says. Fat chance in hell of that happening!

When his administration sold guns to CRIMINALS who killed innocent people (including a border agent) and he THINKS he is going to take guns (or anything else) away from LAW ABIDING CITIZENS?! Of course, we have NO ONE who will hold him accountable! I hate the press who are such p* they have chapped lips from kissing his *ss!
The worn out meme “If new gun laws save one life then it is worth it” is no different than “if the maximum speed limit everywhere is 25 mph and saves one life then it is worth it”.
The sheer stupidity of the nimrods proposing these new gun laws is unbelievable.
I plan to rattle-off a long list of now prohibited semi-automatic weapons with large clips, and then give the home address of whatever Democrat hack politician strikes my fancy that day.
But I thought they promised not to interfere with the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship.
