The National Rifle Association is amping up the political rhetoric in advance of President Obama's gun violence prevention announcement scheduled for Wednesday. On Tuesday, the NRA posted a video on its website accusing the president of being "an elitist hypocrite" because his daughters have armed guards at school. CNN reported Tuesday night that the video "is running on the Sportsman Channel, a cable network focused on outdoors programming such as hunting and fishing."

This is a *teachable moment* for shooting sports. We need more of the type of ad, that addresses the lives that were saved by gun owners [in their own words] protecting their family/property.

The most entertaining part was watching Joe and Mika having absolute fits about it this Morning really had me laughing,.both of them for over week been demanding that the GOP sign onto gun control, so this sent them into an absolute tizzy. They even played it twice.

Every time these brain dead politicians/celebrities open their mouth about gun control, someone should challenge them with: YOU and YOUR GUARDS FIRST!!!!
Often violence involving guns, is gang/criminal related, and usually involves breaking the current laws anyway. Yet the proposals say nothing about cracking down on gangs, drug dealers, and felons who possess guns illegally.
No, they want to take them away from law abiding citizens. Meanwhile, this Administration made sure the Drug Cartels got plenty of fully automatic assault/military weapons.
Anyone serious about preventing gun violence would be focusing on the criminal element, and enforcing current laws, instead of making up new laws which will only impact law abiding citizens anyway.
Does anybody really believe that the criminals are going to just turn in their guns because a law is passed? Any politician that believes this should be in the loony bin, due to no understanding of reality; they sure as h#ll shouldn't be allowed to make laws.

Your ad needs to be running on CNN, TBS, Lifetime, A&E, and all other channels where people who are CLUELESS might have a chance of seeing it.
The NRA dead? Really? I just renewed my membership this morning. And also joined the VCDL and the JFPO.
They even acknowledge it, and know that it's common understanding that such a situation is wrong, but, their elitism kicks in and their ideology says it's proper and necessary for there to be different rules for different classes of people.
It has to be really psychologically difficult to be a leftist. God has "written His law on their hearts", but their "reason" has told them to disregard this natural understanding of what is righteous and what is wicked.
The only problem is that the low information voters will never see it.

Unfortunately, I don't think so. Did you see the comments on the linked page? People who think guns are the problem will think it's OK to make a distinction between the President's daughters and yours.
They're correct on one point - the President's daughters would be a target for more intentional crimes than your children would be. But they miss the point that having a gun handy is the only solution when the criminal is unstable and not planning an intentional crime.
Liberals know that guns in the hands of honest people are to protect. They know that taking guns away from honest, law-abiding people and deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals will cause more honest people to be killed.
They know, and are happy that way.

Because their ethics have been totally compromized..the longer their in washington the more likely the chances are they got caught taking a bribe or banging a page in the closet or maybe with a hooker some were downtown...If the other party knows about it then that's what those shiite birds call political leverage...It's what we call blackmail..the point is, when they do things that we know isn't right, when they stand in opposition to, or in support of what what makes no sense to us, it's because they can't do otherwise...Lest we find out what they are and remove them from office...

It seems we’ve allowed a ruling class to form... and like blowhard elites the world over they’ve spent a good deal of time passing laws that make it difficult to get them our of office. Now elites want to start chipping away at the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. That paper is what stands between them and uncontested power... we know what they are...
