Ted Nugent ammo sells out, says cops won't obey Obama on guns
Washington Examiner ^ | January 15, 2013 | 12:39 pm | Paul Bedard

Ted Nugent, the rocker and Michigan deputy sheriff whose new line of ammunition has sold out amid gun control worries, claims members of state and federal law enforcement are poised to disobey any order by President Obama to seize guns.

Nugent, whose trained with the FBI, ATF and DEA, on Tuesday cited a group called "Oath Keepers," members of federal and state police and military organizations, who will not enforce laws that conflict with the Constitution and presumably the Second Amendment right to arms.

In an interview with the "Andrea Tantaros Show with Jason Mattera," Nugent said that if ordered to seize his guns, the "Oath Keepers" would refuse. "First of all," he said if military or law enforcement officials showed up at his Texas ranch, "I'd slice them a shank of venison because most of them are my friends."

He explained: "There is an official organization called 'Oath Keepers,' and these are heros of law enforcement and the military who will not obey an order, an illegal, anti-Constitution, oath-breaking order to infringe that far on our Second Amendment rights."

He predicted that "many will" refuse to enforce orders violating their interpretation of the Second Amendment, but not all, and he cited the Waco, Texas attack during the Clinton administration, as an example.

The Oath Keepers webpage details broadly the group's mission: "Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, veterans, peace officers, and firefighters who will fulfill the oath we swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

"Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial."

In the interview, Nugent also revealed that Obama's threat to gun owners has helped him sell out his new line of ammunition for rifles and pistols.

"I'm in the gun industry," he said. "I have my own Ted Nugent line of ammo that has sold out every pallet that we can back into a sporting goods store."

The problem is, there are probably 10 that will enforce new gun laws for every one that will look the other way, and you have no idea of knowing which one will do what.

He’s right. The military, and police, how they are currently comprised will not follow orders to round up weapons, and go against their fellow countrymen.

However, I am also very much aware that a volunteer military and a police force, that are slowly being transformed away from those ideals will not be a military and police force that will always protect those ideals.

And I don’t think a police force that shoots labs and Chihuahuas is one that concerns itself with Constitutional rights.

I’m not concerned about the trained and equipt law enforcement officers who would follow such and assinine agenda...

I’m really concerned about the rest off the nieghborhood that might suspect, therefore drop a dime on my operationm when I least expect it...

The list of people I trust is very short...And there are not a lot of family members on it...

Thats where I believe a lot of people are these days...

Be very careful who you bluster towards, outside the anonymity of forums like this...

Off this keyboard, I really don’t talk to a lot of people nowadays...

Just my opinion...

Sorry, the days where cops are your friend and respectable, fine members of our society are long gone.

The WOD, MADD, Low speed limits ensured that only the most corrupt low life thugs would populate our police forces.

Most cops will get a hard on enforcing any anti-gun or other Unconstitutional law this administration comes up with.

They aren’t going to seize guns. Not all at once. This will be done slowly, in increments.

Photobucket Not today. Not tomorrow, Not ever.

Pardon me if I seem the rube, but isn't the very term " assault weapon" just some military inspired term coined by some lickspittle government fanboy to sound cool?

I thought these self loading sporting rifles were called autoloaders

Sure the old autoloaders were somewhat limited in capacity due to the technology of the day but what isn't? - If technology isn't here to benefit We the People, why in the hell are we paying for it? Why don't we just go back to riding around in horse drawn buggies?

As for the communist in chief - I'm a little tired of his gas - he talks too much for a fighting man. Make your stupid little laws and see what good it does.

A Peace Officer in the next town over leads our Oath Keepers group. He has told us that local LEO’s will NOT obey unlawful orders to confiscate firearms.

Also, our sheriff hosts Appleseed shoots at the county training range. About half of the red and orange hats are his deputies.

And so the battle lines of the US Civil War II, will be drawn.

I spent $90 on 100 Sellier & Bellot .22 Hornet 45gr SP 20rds.

That’s the best I could do.

I don’t care what people say, if the SHTF getting shot with a .22 LR is a bad day — At 300 yards, it’s through you. And You can carry 1,000 rounds on you.

If you can find them that is....
