Biden Proposals Include Framework for Gun Registry and Confiscation

Up to 50-80% of all guns in circulation could be covered

Press reports now make it clear what Vice President Joe Biden’s gun control package will look like. Biden wants to impose:

* A Feinstein-like semi-auto ban which, according to experts who have done the counting, could ban up to 50% of all long guns currently in circulation and up to 80% of all handguns. Incidentally, if you wanted to keep the AR-15 you currently have, you would have to have a 6-month FBI background check, be fingerprinted, and get a machine gun-type license.

* The framework for national gun registration and confiscation by requiring every gun transaction to have a Brady Check.

* Supposed “toughening” of anti-gun trafficking measures, but without doing anything about the man responsible for allowing more gun trafficking than any other American -- Attorney General Eric Holder (with his Fast and Furious program).

Let us backtrack and explain a couple of things: Increasingly ATF is going into gun dealers and xeroxing all of the 4473’s. This is illegal under McClure-Volkmer, but, in case you hadn’t noticed, Obama is increasingly ignoring the law when it inconveniences him.

Thus, if every gun transaction in America must have a Brady Check, every gun in America could presumably be fed into a national registration system by ATF by simply copying the 4473’s.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo -– a man who gives you a pretty good idea of where gun control is going -– said, on the front page of the New York Times, that “confiscation” of firearms is an option. Obviously, having a registration list makes such a task much easier.

But what about so-called large-capacity magazines? Well, Republicans like Georgia’s Phil Gingrey have talked about the possibility of banning them. However, there are many problems with this.

First of all, millions of gun owners own these magazines for defensive purposes. To take away a homeowner’s right to choose these devices will simply make honest citizens less safe -- especially, when they are facing multiple attackers.

Moreover, police have sometimes had to fire 20-30 rounds to finally stop just one drug-crazed individual from shooting. This just underscores why, quite often, good guys will need more than just six-shooters.

Second, there are tens of millions of high-capacity magazines in circulation. What are you going to do about them?

Third, changing magazines (or switching guns) is not a big deal for people like Adam Lanza.

Fourth -- and perhaps most important –- this is a game the anti-gun zealots have played before: They threaten to kill the Second Amendment, and then negotiate their way back to “merely” eviscerating it.

Or put another way, they threaten to shoot us in the head to get us to agree to cutting off our fingers.

The only way that America’s gun owners are going to have peace over the next decade is to stop ALL gun control -– as we did after Columbine –- and then defeat compromising legislators running for reelection in 2014.

ACTION: Click here to contact your Senators and Congressmen. Demand that they oppose ALL gun control -- including magazine limitations and universal background (registration) checks -- being proposed by the Biden commission.

They are violating the 2nd and 4th amendment, but they don't care. It doesn't solve anything, except make law abiding citizens of this great country - criminals.

Time to tell the Federal Government to go to hell. House must start impeachment of both King Obama and Biden.

The liberal (er, now “progressive”) path to gun prohibition:

30 to 10 to 7 to “five or six” to 3 to 1 to NONE. The following is just one quote out of many:

Bloomberg Blasts NRA: ‘Connecticut Is Because of Some of Their Actions’

...
But if he had his preference, Bloomberg said he would go farther than the 1994 ban and outlaw all

automatic and semi-automatic weapons and high-capacity magazines. The mayor said magazines shouldn’t

be allowed to contain more than five or six rounds.

“If you haven’t hit the deer with three shots, you’re a pretty lousy shot. The deer deserves to get

away,” he said....

If you care to read a few words out of that “little book”, as CNN’s Piers Morgan recently described it, you will find the Constitution was written solely to form a government so that we might enjoy the blessings of liberty. That government was designed from the bottom up with limited powers in order to protect the rights the Creator gives to all humans by right of birth, rights that exist outside of any government.

Members of the media understand that a free press is essential to preserve liberty and protect the country from a government run amok. What member of the media would have said we must preserve the First Amendment just in case some future president attempts to subvert the electoral process or we need to publish some classified Pentagon papers about a costly war? Previously the First was best known for shielding the publishing of pornography. Yet if it had not been for the reporting of Woodward and Burstein during the Watergate coverup, or Daniel Ellsberg’s publishing of a classified study about the Vietnam War who knows what other outrages would have followed?

The right to freely publish expression in speech, media and in internet commentary is such a precious component of protecting our liberties from a government run amok that it is my duty to pass the First Amendment on to my grandchildren just in case some future outrage threatens the country.

Similarly, just because I may not need to fully exercise the pre-existing rights recognized in the Second Amendment that doesn’t relieve me of the duty and obligation to pass those rights fully and unencumbered to my grandchildren just in case they must exercise them to protect their liberty.

The truth is that nobody can know how or why some future government will attempt to break free of the powers the Constitution limits it to, nor how it may abuse the enumerated powers it clearly has. So while I may not really need this particular style of rifle at this moment anymore than I really need 30, 10, or even five or six pages of Hustler Magazine. I am obligated to make sure my children and grandchildren can freely exercise those very same rights or else I have not been a good citizen, nor even a good parent.

The second amendment is not about “hunting” albeit asshats like Bloomberg and the supreme jerk try to push this propaganda out. Worse, a gullible public believes it.

They can pass all the laws they want, I am not giving up any of my guns, magazines, ammo or anything else that is my God given right to have.

I never hear Democrats applauding Bloomberg, but you’d never know the guy was not already a Democrat. I’m suprised I don’t see the likes of Reid or Pelosi hugging Bloomberg publicly and saying things like, “we can get along with Republicans after all.” and “We wish all Republicans would emulate the great Bloomberg”

I'll give up my guns when all politicians and elected officials give up their armed guards.

Deal?

Bloomberg was a life long Democrat but only switched to R when he knew he had no chance in the Dem Mayoral primary in NYC in 2001. There was no viable R candidate so he basically bought the seat.

That is the goal, make law abiding citizens afraid they are breaking the law. Ignoring this claptrap is no worse than driving through a red light in the middle of the nigh at a deserted intersection. No harm is done. There is no witness and there is no infraction.

Keep your powder dry. Don’t blink.

“I’ll give up my guns when all politicians and elected officials give up their armed guards”

I’ll take it a step further...all the media darlings have to go without security. I’d bet there’s guard in the lobby at MSNBC. Why do they think they are so special.

None of us will Mouton, but even if they go so far as to confiscate the guns they would never go door to door to get them, no one would be stupid enough except the military and it would take forever to search house by house anyway.

Confiscation will happen like this:

1)They make it illegal to possess a shopping list of guns that are found by the millions.

2)They do nothing but threaten a huge fine and/or jail time if you don’t turn them in.

3)Half the pu... er, owners will capitulate and baa their way to the nearest turn-in center, perhaps getting a tax credit or a small check for being “honest”.

4)From that point on anyone found to have one will be arrested, slapped with a felony (voting rights removed of course) and fined up the ying/yang. No more target practice, ammo, or displaying of you hidden weapons to anyone, fearful that your friends who capitulated will turn you in for a reward that is offered also.

5)They do nothing else but wait.

I personally think that this article is short on fact. I can only recall one case where the ATF went into a gunshop in Arizona and asked to get copies of the Forms 4473 from a new employee. More experienced people at the gun store told the ATF to go get effed. They may ask, for now, but it is illegal and the gun seller does not have to comply unless there is a specific warrant on a sale made for a specific gun.

Wont we need this when Os Storm Troopers come to confiscate our guns?

What kind of clips will they be using?

None of these proposals are enforceable or lawful. Unless we have a constitutional convention the 2nd amendendment still protects God given authority to protect ourselves. Nothing any man pens changes this fact.

If you are dumb enough to self identify then you might as well pick up your ticket to the gas chamber.

I was illustrating the hypocrisy of politicians and elected officials hiding behind armed guards while dictating that we be soft targets.
