Aside from regulated hunting exceptions and those individuals who are deemed in danger by the police commissioner, all U.S. civilians should be banned from owning any kind of gun, argued former New York City Mayor Ed Koch in a radio interview today.
“I don’t believe that in our society that we should have guns,” said Koch, a Democrat, speaking on New York WABC Radio’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio.”
Continued Koch: “If I had my way I would pass such a law except to allow hunting and target practice and you lay out safety precautions for that.
“And if you need a gun because the police commissioner thinks your life is in danger, which is the way you can get a concealed gun (in New York) today, it’s called the Sullivan Law, you have to have the permission of the police commissioner.”
“So subject to those modifications,” he stated, “I don’t believe we should have millions of guns out there in the hands of people who are not part of law enforcement.”
Koch was asked about New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s announced effort to pursue “the toughest assault weapon ban in the nation.”
“We have to go much further,” the ex-mayor replied.
“I believe for example when Washington, D.C., passed a law that nobody could have a gun except law enforcement and it was struck down by the United States Supreme Court, that we should overrule the Supreme Court with a Constitutional amendment. I don’t believe that in our society that we should have guns.”

I believe guns are banned in Mexico. That’s why they have no crime down there and no gun violence, no murders.
I don't know about anybody else here but LE is the very last place I'd take refuge for protection of my life or my family's lives.

I know a Jewish liberal who asked me what FFL I used for my guns. I gave him the contact info and he bought several guns. He’d never had one. Then, he asked us gun guys to take him shooting; which we did. He also bought several thousand rounds. Recently, I was talking to a liberal in the gym and it only took a minute or two and he understood that more guns meant less crime, not more. You could see the gears mesh and his mind change. I think the liberals are going to have a hard time banning guns.
An old gay geek that probably hasn’t been outside of Manhattan in forty years is in no position to understand America let alone speak for it. Hush up Ed.
Then run, RUN to the airport and head to a country where it is LEGAL to prohibit citizens from having guns. Because it is not legal here, nor will it ever be.
Go right ahead, Kroch ... ban your bodyguards from having guns. Reject any and all police protection for yourself.

Once the gun confiscations start, they are going to find out in big hurry just how much contempt LE has for the public. Got to youtube and search for police drug raids. Then just substitute the word "gun" for "drug" because that is the treatment you're going to get when your neighbors turn you in for not registering or turning in your guns. The police will blindly follow the orders of whoever is it's leash.

The Sullivan Law was enacted by the Political Gangster Bosses in Albany in order to protect their mobster gangs in NY City- look it up.
They state with a straight face that we ‘need to ban guns’ due to one percent crime rate commited with the things.
But if you say anything about illegal aliens driving drunk and killing people, drunk driving in general, or crimes commited withvehicles they go berserk screaming that you’re racist or a hater.
Pretty much applying their ‘logic’ to any other instance is said to be ‘hate’.

The dirty little secret regarding the gun culture in NYC that many are either oblivious or chose to ignore, is MANY folks throughout the boroughs have hidden arsenals that would make even Texans quite proud. Those who are armed to the teeth are VERY quiet and cautions but theses arsenals do exist. I have seen them.
These hypocritical b@$#%@rds make one want to barf. All these limousine libs have their tight security 24-7 all armed with enough firepower to take on a Seal Team.

There has been this effort after 9/11 to deify first-responders. To this point, the police, such that if one were to shoot at the police as they attempted to confiscate your weapons you would be painted as a terrorist unworthy of public support.
When it is THOSE VERY POLICE who will be the ones sent out to confiscate your guns in violation of your god given rights.
Now, we are at a crossroads for Law Enforcement. Either you LEO’s are with the people to whom you are to “protect and serve” or you are with the ruling class and will act in their defense and on their orders.
