Colin Powell is No Republican

Colin Powell is NOT a Republican. If a chicken calls itself a cow, is the chicken a cow? Of course not. Powell appeared on “Meet the Press” with David Gregory on Sunday and sounded like he just attended the Nancy Pelosi Summit of Anti-Conservative Talking Points and Race Baiting.

Powell referenced Sarah Palin and John Sununu, two conservative patriots, as being racist. He said Palin’s use of the phrase “shuckin’ and jivin” is racist. He said Sununu’s description of the President as “lazy” is racist. I am half-tempted to check out my local library to see if it has a book listing all the racist terms conservatives are not allowed to use. In my wildest imagination, I don’t think I could have thought that these terms were even remotely racist.

Powell also said that “you can’t go around saying ‘We don’t want to have a solid immigration policy...we are going to make it hard for these minorities to vote as they did in the last election.” I wonder if he thinks the Democrat plan for amnesty and open borders is a “solid immigration policy.” He went on to say “there’s also a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the party. What do I mean by that? What I mean by that is they still sort of look down on minorities.” I will agree with him in this sense: I’m sure there are some Republicans who look down on minorities. I’m also sure that there are some Democrats who look down on minorities and some Independents, Green Party members, and Socialists that look down on minorities.

He also couldn’t contain himself and had to take a shot at so-called birthers and questioned why the Republican leaders allow that type of talk. First of all, Colin, Republicans allow ALL types of talk because we believe in freedom of speech. Secondly, there are only three Constitutional requirements to become President: the person must be at least 35 years old, have lived in the United States for at least 14 years, and be a natural-born citizen. My parents had to produce a birth certificate for me to go to kindergarten! Is it so extreme to ask a Presidential candidate, someone who could potentially be the leader of the free world, to provide evidence as to his or her eligibility as defined by the law, namely our Constitution?

Colin, the reason racism still exists is partially because people like yourself who constantly bring up the issue will not allow racism to die out. You are only relevant unfortunately whenever you say something controversial, which is very sad because I respect your military service and you have real talents and abilities to offer if you wanted to go that route. Yes, the Republican Party has been splintered a bit and is facing some identity problems. I think Republicans have identified another problem: Your rhetoric.

I at one time had great respect for this man.

I am forced to admit that he never was who he appeared to be...or has been overcome by race.

Either way, it is a huge disappointment.

“He’s not even much of an American. He is is a globalist.”

Colin Powell is another gift to us from the Bush family. Pappy Bush (George H.W. Bush) made him Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Son George W. made him Secretary of State.

He was always an AA choice. Way to go Dubya. I love you, but this was another one of your major bad choices.

Time and time again it's the racist who calls others racist. The true racists give themselves away by doing that. I had very little respect for Colin Powell to begin with and it was an easy step down to no respect at all.

Mr. Powell you are so below the class of Sarah Palin that you are as good as nothing to me. You don't even deserve a thought, so I won't give you one.

He has always been pro-sodomy and pro-affirmative action (unequal laws) and is as conservative as a Pelosi. He is part of the Hegelian Dialectic-—just “labeled” conservative to move us further left until we no longer have freedom.

The puppetmasters control him and give him his “orders”. Funny thing is—he thinks he is not their slave and he will be given a plush job in their NWO. Ha.
All useful idiots will be eliminated when they are no longer useful.

He is a traitor to America.

I don’t know about that. I know he’s not a patriot nor a lover of freedom, but he seems like all the other republicans to me.

A slithering snake in the grass.

"We have before us the opportunity to forge for ourselves and for future generations a new world order, a world where the rule of law, not the law of the jungle, governs the conduct of nations.

"When we are successful, and we will be, we have a real chance at this new world order, an order in which a credible United Nations can use its peacekeeping role to fulfill the promise and vision of the U.N.'s founders."

I would swear that I read a George Will (I think) column, back when Powell's name was first being tossed around as a possible GOP presidential candidate, that touched on this very topic. At the time, Powell was being very coy and tap dancing around about his position on key conservative issues. The column ended by basically saying that there was a political party for Powell, and people like him with similar views and outlooks, but it was not the GOP.

I remember the column because it was a bit of a shock for me - I was still positively inclined towards Powell back then.

Colon, “the part of the large intestine extending from the cecum to the rectum,” knows all about racism. He parties with an expert on the subject, Calypso Louie.

We should never again use the term, “republican” next to Colin Powell.

If we need to give him a political title, let’s title his as “Liberal Democrat, Colin Powell”. That is what he is, and that is what he’s been all along. Never fooled me.

Anytime he uses “republican” to describe himself, the closest republican to him at the time, should ask him for an apology for impersonating a republican.
