That’s okay, lots of us [coughmetoocough] have made the same mistake with similarly-spelled FReeper names.

Holy cow just read some of those posts good lord why hasn’t that loon been banned..I can see how someone would mistake the two of us since we have similar names but damn I’m outraged I don’t want that fool using a name like mine, especially posting crazy stuff like that

I figured the Lord thy Mod/s would do something about it once they saw what was up, so I never pinged them until yesterday. I would guess with all the crap going on, keeping people on an even keel over the gun thing gave them a full time job elsewhere.

Even though I don't report potential trolls anymore, I do try to notify the person who's name is being spoofed.

I'd seen your posts and you are well respected. You were never unhinged.

If I didn't ping you, I'm sorry I missed it.

I watch for that kind of stuff.

Besides. I've got a surprise for you. I have a new recipe for small horses. It's a smoked BBQ themed recipe. Here's your pony. ;)

You know something?

All my life I only wanted one thing. I worked, slaved and suffered so that in my old age, I could have the pony ma would never buy me as a child.

It was a lonely childhood. Just me and my picture of the pony I imagined I would some day have. I took it everywhere. To school, to campouts, and later, had it framed on my office wall.

Now, as I am getting old and already am feeble, I find myself at a point in my life where I can, at long last, have the pony I was selfishly denied. The dream of pony that brought happiness to a lonely child.

And you cooked it.

I will NEVER forgive you for cooking my pony....EVER!!!

But it does taste pretty good...I like that it has a subtle hint of jalapeno but it doesn’t completely overwhelm the natural Shetland gaminess.

White or red wine?

Side note...

Add to the list of phrases you never expected to see on a politically conservative website...

“I will NEVER forgive you for cooking my pony....EVER!!!”

It’s insightful dialog like that that truly separates us from liberals.

Always a red. I'd suggest a Cotes du Rhone. But there is a nice South African wine I like with game and strong meat dishes.

It's called Goats do Roam and it works well with horse.

They are dour and insipid creatures, devoid of humor, and allergic to laughter. The Love of God is not in their hearts, and they stew and forment.

Besides, they are jerks and can't do basic math or logistics.

That’s what makes conservatives inherently superior. There is always one of us with a quick and logical answer to any given issue, made without the application of emotional argument.

I doubt very much that at DU/Kos/Huffington, I could not get a recipe for pony, much less have it professionally prepared and with a recommendation for the proper wine.

You may have left me traumatized, shattered my boyhood dreams, and fed them to me, but I gotta respect your forthrightness.

You just don’t get that from liberals.

I dunno. If anything could break a drill Sarge, it would have to be a nonstop parade of hipsters, liberals and GOP supplicants. This would serve no good purpose.

Even broken and given discipline, they would still have the taint of liberal within them. And at the cost of a good military man. Nope. Not worth it.

Better to nuke them from orbit.

I never received any zot or any kind of warning so I think the mods knew the difference between me and the obvious troll. After reading some of her/his posts..WOW..that kind of garbage belongs in the daily kooks for sure..I read during the 2008 election that leftist trolls were paid 10 bucks an hour to go on Conservative forums, pretend to be a Conservative, and trash them..sick stuff..I saw that sarahbarracuda a few times last year assumed she/he got banned hopefully this time it will be gone for good. No worries I totally understand if you ever see that loon post again let me know I dont want people to confuse me with that troll

No. Once a FReeper has taken a handle, it is forever “already in use,” banned or not.

Joining you in the “To:” field are banned FReepers’ handles and one dog, none nuked.

I really like the dog, too.

UH, it has nothing to do with purity.
It has everything to do with basic “Will you uphold the COnstitution, yes or no.”
RINOs do not and will lie to your face.
Look at the GOP at the moment, can you with a straight face claim they are upholding the Constitution?
Can you with a straight face say McCain, or Romney were EVER Conservative or upheld the Constitution?

There are indeed folk to whom basic Conservative principles are, as you say, "in their bones." But this is not the case with most Americans. We have to try to persuade those who are only Conservative on some issues, to come to our side on other major issues. We have our work cut out for us, and none of us should be too proud to do what we can.

My point with respect to Senator Rubio, is relevant not only for Rubio, but for any citizen who is confused as to his duty or position, with respect to any foreign origin. You surely do not want to simply write off all who are influenced by such considerations, or by the distortions in the mass media, to seek to change our culture--either intentionally or otherwise!

Again, please consider my points in Whither American Conservatism.

And let me say this about Senator Rubio's worth. He is better at explaining Conservative economics than well over 95% of those in Congress. Just writing him off, because he has allowed family sentiment to influence him in the wrong direction on immigration, is a form of shooting ourselves in the foot.

"They would have to pay a fine, pay back taxes, maybe even do community service. They would have to prove they've been here for an extended period of time. They understand some English and are assimilated. Then most of them would get legal status and be allowed to stay in this country."

Nice dream, but... I think the time has long been passed when immigrants were coming here to assimilate.

One of the reasons that Rubio won in Florida has nothing whatever to do with immigration. He is one of the most articulate spokesmen for free market economics that we have.

I certainly do not dispute--nor do I take likely your points--that he has been on the other side on immigration issues. Ultimately, there is no issue that is more important. Every nation, every tribe or community's culture reflects the people of that nation, tribe or community. People create their culture; not culture people. Jefferson understood this, when he purchased Louisiana, specifically as a buffer for the Anglo/Celtic cultures of the eastern seaboard States. (See Immigration & The American Future.)

All of this said, I believe that we should at least try to reach Senator Rubio. Anyone's stand on any issue ultimately depends on what he focuses on. Senator Rubio is worth a serious effort to have him refocus on what is essential to the rooted American Conservative.
