Where Does The Hatred Of Constitutionalism Come From?
alt-market.com ^ | 1/10/13

The Constitution of the United States is an undeniably powerful document. So powerful in fact, that it took establishment elitists with aspirations of globalized governance over a century to diminish the American people’s connection to it. It’s been a long time coming, but in the new millennium, there is now indeed a subsection of the masses that not only have no relationship to our founding roots, they actually despise those of us who do!

There are a number of reasons for this dangerous development in our culture: A public school system that rarely if ever teaches children about the revolution, the founders, constitutional liberty, or the virtues of individualism in general. A mainstream media apparatus that has regurgitated endless anti-constitutional shlock for decades, attacking any person or group that presents a freedom oriented view. And a governmental structure that has become so corrupt, so openly criminal, that they ignore all aspects of constitutional law without regard, rarely feeling the need to explain themselves. As a people, we are surrounded daily by the low droning wash-talk of denigration and disdain for our principled foundations. The wretched ghosts of collectivism and tyranny mumble in our ears from birth to death. It’s truly a miracle that every man and woman in this nation has not succumbed to the mind numbing hypnotism…

However, our propaganda soaked environment is not the ONLY cause of our self destructive society; many people are themselves to blame. Severe character flaws and psychological imbalances have left some open to suggestion, manipulation, and fraud. Their hatred, though fueled in part by the socialization of the establishment, is still theirs to own.

Islam and its Muslim Brotherhood infiltration into American politics.
Nobody really wants to admit America has been invaded and we are all political prisoners.

I think the progressive and communist Americans had a 80 year head start on the Muslim Brotherhood.

Government, government schools and Colleges trained their army starting in the nineteen twenties at least. It was cool and cutting edge to love communism.

Those in government are power junkies and hate anything that might limit their power.

Just a thought... term limited politicians wouldn't have time to become power junkies.

Preach on brother. Add to that the “conservatives” who can’t stop their addiction to liberal media, fund Hollywood and thereby support every perverted cause they promote.

The Constitution is all about limiting the power and the size of government. Those in government are power junkies and hate anything that might limit their power.

Zero has stated he dislikes the US Constitution because it is a set of "NEGATIVE" rights. You are spot on. One of our libtard SCOTUS Justices travels to foreign countries and tell audiences they should not look to copy the US Constitution if setting up a new government.

Excellent, well thought-out presentation!

Some of those same points can be attributed to people who despise anyone who reads and loves the Bible. Come to think of it, the Constitution got quite a few of its revolutionary ideas from that very Book.

I came across a passage in Isaiah a few days ago, which delineates three attributes of Godly government...Judicial, Legislative, and Executive. (God is our Judge, Our Lawgiver, and Our King”.) I thought that was SO cool. I am fairly sure that Our Founding Fathers knew this verse, as the Bible was an important part of an education, and I don’t doubt it inspired them as they were working out a system of government for the New Nation.

Our founders I don’t think imagined lifetime career politicians. The two year term for house members should have resulted in incompetent, immoral and greedy representatives getting booted relatively quickly. (Now days we re-elect crack head mayors. Marion Barry in DC)

They underestimated the lengths the parties would go to remain in power. Stacking the deck for incumbents.

A step in the right direction would be removing all health care and pensions for elected leaders.

Satan set his trap well - worship of mammon and gluttony - and many conservatives fell into it. Now his demons are poised to take away everything and leave us nothing.

People need to start walking that road to Damascus and pray that lightning strikes.

It is very easy- The hatred of The Constitution is because it does not allow for the Socialism they want to implement.

Plain and Simple.

They want to take away guns? Not allowed by those silly old men form 200 years ago...

Free speech? Hah! those anctient had soap boxes - we have the internet! They never considered the internet? Why should we allow free speech on the internet (or talk radio) when all they meant was newspapers and soap boxes.

Wealth Redistribution? The president NEEDS to tax everyone to pay for stuff he wants to do and committed to, doesn’t he? Why limit him to what Congress authorizes, huh? those silly old men never thought of the problems we face.

Its OLD, its ANTIQUATED. We need a new system, like “The Federation” on Star Trek.

Hello LS, learned sage.

What intrigues me is how Europe is trying to find itself again. Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, etc. have realized multi-culturalism does not work. European countries are too small and easily swallowed by immigrants who refuse to adapt to other nationalities.

It is easy for liberal fascism to teach disrespect for the Constitution. For them it is always personal destruction and character assassination. Our Founders owned slaves and were God fearing. How can anything coming from their antediluvian quill pens be believed and respected?

Wish I had the resources and wherewithal to research office term lengths for Reps and Senators from shortly after the Revolutionary War through today. I suspect that would be right interesting. Also whether leaving office was by death or retirement and at what age.

I think this is easy to explain.

Islam developed as a religion, admitting in many new ideas, until the time of probably their second most important figure after Mohammed, named al-Ghazali (c. 1058 – 1111).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ghazali

He justified and cemented fundamentalist Islamic thought, that all knowledge is found in the Koran, and other knowledge is just a distraction, or outright evil. And the intellectual development of Muslims came to a screeching halt. And there it has remained ever since.

I say this because the leftists, no matter if they call themselves “progressives”, “liberals”, or are socialists, social democrats, fascists, or communists, all have the commonality that their thinking has become frozen in the past as well. Today, as it were, “progressives” are reactionaries.

That is in both cases, their respective religious faiths are no longer able to change or develop. Instead they define the world in terms of their prejudices, and if it does not conform to their world view, it is anathema or outright evil.

In practical terms, they lack pattern recognition, reject reason and reasonableness, and despise the beliefs and opinions of other not in conformity with their own.

Which is why, among many other things, both Islamists and leftists reject our constitution: because it is not part of their belief system.

Europe’s problem is that at best it only had three of the four pillars of American exceptionalism: for a while, most nations were Christian; most had some form of free market; and almost all had broad property rights. But none had common law. Today, few are predominantly Christian, property rights have eroded, and the free market is severely limited.
