NRA Slams Meeting with Biden
Free Beacon ^ | 1/10/13 | staff

Posted on 01/10/2013 1:38:41 PM PST by Nachum

The National Rifle Association met with Vice President Joe Biden Thursday and it did not go well.

“We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment,” the group said in a statement released Thursday afternoon.

The full statement:

The National Rifle Association of America is made up of over 4 million moms and dads, daughters and sons, who are involved in the national conversation about how to prevent a tragedy like Newtown from ever happening again. We attended today’s White House meeting to discuss how to keep our children safe and were prepared to have a meaningful conversation about school safety, mental health issues, the marketing of violence to our kids and the collapse of federal prosecutions of violent criminals.

I quit the NRA in 08 after they supported several Dems over strong Pro 2nd amendment Rupublicans. I’ve been thinking about going back. But, the NRA helped bring this on themselves by trying to be ‘bipartisan’.

Sadly, it won’t work that way. Called a process crime: Federal officer or federally-deputized officers asks a question of you as a person of interest (owner of a gun should do it) and you tell an untruth, i.e. boating accident etc. You are subject to 3-5 in a Fed lockup for the untruth. Don’t believe me, ask Martha Stewart.

What the NRA officials think what was going to come out of the meeting? They were summoned for only two reasons:1. To publically humiliate them. 2. Tour public opinion against them. I bwould have told Biden to go fornicate with himself.

"The dems no longer bother with pretenses anymore. They already have their plan and don’t need any input."

This is because the Dems are morons who don't want to study history, our Constitution or the real numbers to base their policy. They are going for the emotional solution that gets the maximum value from the zero information public. That public is the lowest common denominator that wants Big Brother to "do something"--anything!

The zero information public has been endoctrinated by our schools and our state owned media how to think. This is a public that will not listen to Talk Radio or Fox News because their ideas are set by the indoctrination they already have. This gives them more time to seek life's pleasures, watch American Idol and listen to music on their FM radio. Do not talk politics with them because you are wrong and they are right.

This is the same public that wants these morons of public service to take away cigarettes (because they stink), fireworks (because they make loud noises), 32 oz Slushies (because they don't like to see fat people), the Constitution (because it is too old fashioned) and automobiles (because they cause Global Warming).

The Dems are ever so willing to cater to the legions of indoctrinated busy body nitpickers with policies that panders to their fantasy world on the Unicorn Farm they learned from the government school. By doing so, these morons of public service do one more thing: They punch the ticket of the Marxist agenda that is shaping public opinion through the state owned media as the Obama Syndicate orchestrates the dismantling of America's freedoms.

At least the NRA did not cave and agree to some silly “compromise”.

I wonder if they proposed a real compromise, like repealing the Gun Free School Zone act.

My point though poorly made is: whatever federal officer ( Barney Fife or real one) will ask the question and purposely walk away knowing he will not put his life on the line forcing a gun owner to volunteerly give up his guns....

I know they will be stepping over my dead body to get mine...

Don’t lie to them. Just say nothing. You are not obligated to answer any questions, though giving your name and address is okay. Other than that, you really don’t have to say shit. If they get uppity, tell them you are not being difficult, but you feel you are being intimidated and that you will only answer questions through your attorney.

At least the NRA is doing something to defend the Constitution against these petty tyrants.

I just signed on as a member tonight. On top of sticking it to the gun grabbers, I get a free NRA hat to wear everywhere and a decal for my car.

I got a packet in the mail from them this week, and am considering it.

That Hat might be what seals the deal.

I wonder if any people who praised the FBI at Waco and Ruby Ridge have seen the light. Or will they be like the liberals who worshipped obama so much they can never admit they were wrong?

“What will be interesting to see in all of this is whether the Dems the NRA bought (e.g., Harry Reid) stay bought.”

Fearless prediction:
When the crucial votes are held in the Senate for gun control legislation, expect nearly every democratic senator to vote with the president, regardless of their former “favorable” ratings from the NRA. Well, maybe one or two exceptions, not more than three at the most.

Same thing in the House — 95% or more of the ‘rat representatives will vote as ordered by Obama.

I hope I’m wrong, but that’s how I see it.

I was just thinking about that topic today. I wonder what Obama’s answer would be if you asked him, “Your living in the 1800's, would you arm the slaves if you had the opportunity? And why?”

Someone should be asking.

The NRA, an organization of honest, patriotic, concerned, law abiding citizens acted in good faith.
